There is nothing worse than showing up to a photo shoot with a cheap umbrella and have it fall apart right in front of your eyes. Trust me, spend the extra money and just get one of these.

I've used this twice now and the light it gives off is great but when putting the diffusion cover on, it keeps forcing the umbrella mechanism to collapse. I'm worried it's going to smash into my flash bulb one of these times. Once the umbrella is extended and locked in, I can pull down on it with significant force and it doesn't collapse so not sure how the minor pressure the cover puts on it does it.After a few tries of getting the cover on, I can get it to stay open but moving the light stand around at all usually makes it collapse again.Another photographer I know has the same issue with this product.

Love the way it projects the light specially if you are looking for softy light. It feels solid and good construction.
