It's just plastic with a chrome coating, so it likely won't hold up to a hard scrubbing, but it cleans up easy, looks nice, and the cost is low enough that ordering two so you have a backup makes sense. Perfect for my needs without being overly engineered.

We bought a brand new vanity that came with an overflow cover but didn't have the 'mesh'. It was just an open circle. The overflow is right below our faucet so it is very visible and just was an open hole. Very strange looking. We wanted to find a cover with a mesh. We found this and they are perfect. Looks great. Fits well. It is plastic but has a faux-chrome finish that looks good. I don't think anyone would notice it is plastic by just looking at it. Very happy with this purchase.

Excellent product! We used them in all vanities in our house. Looks much better than the original ones. It is still plastic, so don't use any corrosive cleaners.
