Great bug zapper
Works great. Ours is positioned in dining room. Our back door is open most of the time allowing flying insects easy access. The bug zapper works well day and night. In only a few days I've heard the satisfying crack about 10 times. The fly body count includes fruit flies, house flies and bluebottles. I'm very pleased with the performance and build quality.

It Works…
Originally I thought this was crap and it didn’t work. I was going to send it back as was very dissatisfied with it. I literally thought I have been scammed but now think maybe the bulbs take awhile to break in or something but it’s zapping the little flying bastards all the time now and I am very happy with it.It’s loud and occasionally catches me, the mrs and the kids off guard and makes us jump but it’s a very rewarding sound especially as for a week or so it didn’t do a bloody thing. If you get one, give it time to break in. I was literally taking the zapper to the flys and they weren’t attracted to it. Left it on overnight and still nothing. Now it’s getting them in the daylight in what is a well lit kitchen all the time.I haven’t yet cleaned it which sounds gross, but I think having a death pit of flys may also be attracting the others. When I clean it. I may have to retain some of the juicy ones to attract more in the future. It’s one of the better looking zappers which is why I bought it however still wouldn’t want it on display. I put it high up above the kitchen unit and can only see it when it’s on because of the bright blue light.

Not bad
Looks good and looks like doing the job because I can hear when someone gets into it. Just could attract more flies

It worked hard this summer!
Ah, summer. Sunshine, barbecues, and...a chorus of buzzing wings that would make a beekeeper jealous. Thanks to our neighbour's adorable (but pest-producing) pet rabbits, flies became the unwelcome soundtrack to our outdoor adventures. Enter the Buzbug Fly Killer 20W – my newfound hero in the battle against the airborne annoyance. This little zapper might be compact, but don't let its size fool you. It packs a serious punch against the fly squadron. The bright blue light lures them in like moths to a flame, and the zap? Well, let's just say it's a one-way ticket to fly Valhalla. No mess, no fuss, just the satisfying crackle of justice dispensed.I was skeptical at first – could something so small really handle the fly infestation we were facing? But I needn't have worried. This little warrior took down more flies than a fly-swatting Olympian. We went from dodging dive-bombing buzzers to actually enjoying our meals al fresco. It was like magic (or maybe just high-voltage electrocution, but who's complaining?).Of course, no product is perfect. The zapping sound can be a bit startling at first, but hey, a small price to pay for peace and quiet. And cleaning the grid is, well, not the most glamorous task. But honestly, compared to the alternative of swatting splatters off the patio furniture, it's a breeze.Overall, the Buzbug Fly Killer 20W is a summer essential for anyone facing a fly invasion, be it from rabbit-induced hordes or your own backyard compost bin. It's effective, easy to use, and, let's be honest, kind of satisfying to watch in action. Just remember, with great power comes great zapping responsibility. Use it wisely (and maybe invest in some earplugs for sensitive housemates).Rating: 4.5 out of 5 stars (minus 0.5 for the slightly unnerving zaps and grid-cleaning duties). So, if you're tired of sharing your summer with the fly symphony, give the Buzbug Fly Killer a try. It might just turn your backyard into a buzz-free haven, your ears into grateful receptacles of peace, and your neighbours into slightly confused (but fly-free) rabbit owners. You're welcome!

Insect barbecue!!
It has been like a Mexican party in my house tonight... bang! Bang! Bang! Haha sounds like a cap gun going off every few minutes! It's awesome. Really happy with this purchase! I have very small gnatts coming in through the tiny holes in my fly nets. These things have been a nightmare! Evaded all my traps! But not tonight! This thing is a game changer. MUMMY (1) - (0) GNATTS 💥⚡️🦟 such a satisfying sound!

Bug zapper
Like this very much, and works well as we have a lot of bugs in the country side and very near water. Unfortunately my dogs Don't !It is very loud we suspect it also gives out a high pitch noise as the dogs will not stay in the house they either hide or run outside.

Steer clear (a bit like the flies did tbh)
Steer clear of this fly zapper. I literally had 8 or 9 flies walk or fly past this for over an hour, they didn’t seem attracted at all. Then I heard the “buzz”, great I thought. I went into my kitchen and indeed it zapped a fly. It lay motionless for about a minute, then got up and flew off. I’m sure it poked its tongue at me as it flew off.
