What is a 12 V constant voltage LED driver used for?

For all 12V DC constant voltage LEDs incl. strips, spots, G4 (MR11), GU5.3 (MR16) etc. For 24V LEDs you need 24V LED driver. For light sources or electronic devices with 12V AC operating voltage you need 12V AC transformer.

What should I pay attention to when using G4 (MR11) or GU5.3 (MR16) socket LEDs?

The G4/GU5.3 LEDs usually consume more energy than specified because of the built-in 12V/24V converter. Please measure or calculate the real power of the LEDs first (nominal current x 12V) and then order a suitable LED driver.

Can I connect a dimmer to the input or output of the led driver and use it to dim the LEDs?

No, this LED driver is not dimmable and can cause disturbances such as flickering LEDs or loud noise when using a dimmer. Please order a dimmable LED driver according to the type of the dimmer (TRIAC, PUSH, 0-10V, PWM, DALI etc.).

How do I connect the LEDs to the 12 V constant voltage LED driver?

The constant voltage LEDs can be connected individually or in parallel with the LED driver. Please note the "PRI L/N" input and the "SEC +/-" output of the LED driver and check the wiring diagram during installation.
