I have been an oil painter for about 10 years now and of all the brands of paints I have ever used, Williambsurg Oils are the absolute best. Pigment is out of this world and the price could definitely be worse for what you are getting. I paint super thin so a tube will last me forever, and the color sets with the smaller sized tubes work best for me to be able to try new colors without committing to fun sized tubes. The signature color set is beautiful and I would recommend giving ANY Williamsburg colors a try.

These colors are gorgeous. As soon as they arrived, I added two shades of ochre and some black to an etching i had done of the dog. I can’t wait to actually paint on canvas with them. The viscosity is perfect and the hues are so rich.

I had been using another well known, available everywhere paint, but never felt it could be applied smoothly. I decided to try Williamsburg and I must say I’m delighted. It is so much smoother than the G brand, the colors are gorgeous and I hope to expand my selection soon.

This line is a buttery easy to use oil but frankly the colors all look alike to me and I thought I had a strong eye for delicate differences in tone and the value of the oil. I'm not going to return them because in my effort to find happiness in the colors I used too much of the product and it would be shameful to return them used. I would not reorder this particular color set again but if the other color options suit I might try them. Its lovley oil paint but the colors are too damn similar.

Pretty expensive for what it is but they are great paints. Just be aware of what you're buying, the tubes are tiny.

Absolutely fantastic, thick consistancy; adds that beautiful iridescent sheen to anything; do not mix with whites; works wonders with reds; mixed results with blues/blue red hues
