This Easily Holds Portable 17" Monitor
I read many reviews and was hoping this would work for my portable 17" monitor because using the cover that came with the monitor as a stand caused the monitor to fall over more than a couple times per day. The way my portable desk is positioned, the monitor would then fall off my desk and hit the floor. I am surprised it hasn't shattered.I could not be more thrilled with this product. It is very sturdy, the arms for positioning it are very tight so it doesn't lose its position and it's heavy enough so that my monitor doesn't tip over. The monitor only weighs about two pounds though. The only drawback for me is that I wish when it's fully extended it was about 1" taller for my purpose. However, since I am able to have the stand positioned so that my monitor is almost straight up and down instead of angled, is just a bonus. As well made as this seems to be, I have no complaints at all.

Using for 15.6" Portable monitor!
Just received this and set it up with the new 15.6" portable monitor and it works great!I know that many stands like this were designed for tablets, but I needed one for a portable monitor that I use with my laptop and my desktop (as a fourth monitor). This stand is perfect for my needs and its movement is stiff making it a solid unit for holding the larger display. The other issue I had with some stands is that since they are made for tablets, the button hooks (as I call them) are curved and not squared and won't hold the shape of the frame of the portable monitor, whereas this unit had exactly what I needed and even came with extra rubber protectors to slip onto those hooks to avoid marking up the devices you use it with.Notice: Since I am using it for a portable monitor (display) I do not have the same heat issues that one might have with a tablet which is why I am personally not concerned about using a larger-than-recommended device on the stand.Would highly recommend this for anyone looking to support a portable monitor, and although not mentioned I suspect it could hold a slightly larger portable monitor as well!

Perfect for Microsoft Surface
I wanted something that would give my Surface Pro some height. It works perfectly. This stand is heavier and harder to move than the cheaper ones on Amazon. This makes it perfect for holding up the Surface since it's notably heavier than a tablet. The joints do take some force to move (not a ton but it doesn't move as easily as my tablet stand) which makes me feel like it won't sink/move from the weight.Wouldn't recommend this for a normal tablet stand as it's bulky and not the easiest stand to travel with due to the size and weight.

STURDY as Hell, and look great
I have multiple of these so I can take the ipad from room to room and set it down without worrying about it. They're stable as hell, and stiff to adjust which is great because you know they're not gonna be moving on you from where you put them. The padding feels like it's protecting the ipad well from any scratches or anything and I use it with a case and un-cased iPad comfortably.I got the silver ones and they look great.

Awesome!
I use this for my portable monitor thatI also bought from on Amazon and this is definitely worth the money to spend. Super sturdy and tight so you don't have to worry or constantly adjust. Stays where you have it adjusted too!

Perfect for drawing tablet
My tablet is a bit in the heavier side, but even with that and my hand slightly leaning on it, this thing stays in place, no wobbling or leaning back. Which also makes it a little hard to move it's position, but I've found one that doesn't need to be adjusted, so once you find the sweet spot, keep it there, it's great. Little rubber pieces on the front make sure that even with a thin bezel tablet or screen, it won't be scratched.

It’s they when I need it.
It’s a tough little fella, dependable at any given time, is what I like about it.

Solid!
This thing is awesome! I wasn't sure it would hold ..but decided to give it a whirl based off the reviews and yeah, it holds! .. I use this to hold my Microsoft Surface Pro for drawing. I basically am resting my hand on it with pressure and it's not budging at all....very solid. And the rubber pads prevent the surface from sliding as well as the mount from sliding on the desk.It holds it's shape, the movement feels qualitative and it's all around well worth the price. Fantastic product and very well built!Highly recommended!

Study and Collapsible Stand
Purchased this stand in June 2020 for my 12.9" iPad Pro; and am generally happy with it. It is indeed stiff to move the joints; but I like that so it won't slowly sink down or move. It folds up so you can put in a drawer or bag pretty easily (even comes in a cloth bag, nice touch!).It extends up pretty high, even beyond the center of mass where it becomes a little tippy - but that's just physics of a big tablet. The stand would have to be even heavier to hold it that high. I just found a happy medium between "high enough off the desk, good angle, and doesn't tip if I press the top of the tablet". I'm pressing someone firmly too as I use a lot of music making apps on my iPad so I'm rapidly pressing on things at times.Overall, great packaging, sturdy construction, and for the price I really have no huge complaints. Compared to some stands I've bought in the past that were so light and flimsy they couldn't even hold the iPad up; this thing is nice.Recommended.

Nice piece of kit
I really like this stand. It looks like something NASA would have designed. High quality materials and very functional. It is stiff to adjust but for me that's an advantage as there is no danger of the thing folding when you are using it. Because I'm paranoid about my electronics I added a little security to it, I took two 3M Command hooks, drilled a hole in them and connected them with a suitable length rubber band. One end hooks over my tablet and the other to the stand. See my image. Makes it pretty solid and less chance of falling off.

Perfect angles, sturdy, works for 15.6in tablet
I bought this product because I have a drawing tablet, the XP Pen 15.6, that I often use as a second monitor. The stand holds it perfectly! It's adjusted to slightly less than a 90 degree angle so there isn't a risk of my tablet toppling over, but the angle is close enough to 90 degrees so viewing my tablet like a monitor is comfortable. You can tell the stand is sturdy and strong. You can adjust the stand itself to hold your tablet higher or lower, and can even adjust the angle up to 90 degrees.Delivery was good and it came on time.Overall, good product!

Very sturdy to use with an apple pencil
This stand is sturdy. I like that it is stiff to adjust so that you can feel confident to use your apple pencil or stylus against the screen and press your palm with a bit of pressure. It won’t move on you. Also, from my setup, you can see the angle allows you to slip a keyboard nicely. I might use a small velcro strip to keep it stable. Even without it, it works fine. The stand is compact enough when folded. If you are going to slip it into your bag, just make sure it has its own padding around it.Update: 6 months later....it is still awesome.
