illy Coffee, iper Coffee Capsule, Dark Roast Drip Pods, illy iperEspresso Machines (18 ct)

Please do not buy as this will disappoint you if you have tried the other illy pods that comes in a round container and comes in 21pcs. When I first bought my machine I purchase the round container and I was supper haply to have found such a great product. Coffee tasted great and an incredible amount of creamy froth. 😋 but this one is made different and taste stale, it cannot be returned and is a waste of money. These are made different as the first ones I had are semiclear plastic and this one is all dark I believe it all has to do with the filter they used inside of these. I will open one and compare to the ones I loved! I will drink these until I get the good ones. Trust me don't buy it spend a bit extra on other ones described to fully satisfy your coffee needs.

These coffee pods are so easy to use with my illy espresso maker. It's super quick to make espresso for my lattes and very clean to discard. If you have or are planning to get an illy espresso maker, I highly recommend getting a monthly subscription for these pods!

Good product

They cost more than the capsules that came in the tins. They don't produce a good crema at all. Very disappointed. And it doesn't look like Amazon carries the tins any more.

I usually buy the old, well-behaving metal box of 21 capsules. This is the 3rd time I purchased the new packaging of 18 capsules. The name of the coffee is the same as always (see attached pictures). The first time I received the soft package, at the first use my machine was leaking from all over and around the capsule holder. I descaled the coffee machine, but nothing changed I had to discard the remaining 14 capsules. The next time I ordered the metal box, it worked as usual, a charm. Then I gave another try ( No2) to the soft package, and it worked fine. Now the 3rd set is the same as the first, and I (being a scientist, who does research) studied and compared the capsules from the metal box and the soft package. There is a significant difference. First, the design of the top and bottom surfaces of the capsules are different, not esthetically, but technically. There are significant technical discrepancies, explaining the different behavior. The "novel version has several small holes on the top and missing an extruding part on the bottom, what are the probable cases of severe leaks. See attached pictures. I never had a problem with the soft-packaged Ipespresso capsules for Francis-Francis, when bought in Europe. It is a disappointment with a brand like Illy.
