they are suppose to congeal they should look like cottage cheese you keep straining off the spoiled milk and adding fresh milk the culture will continue to grow without adding more kefir. when you use the kefir you use it sparingly and Keep the remaining Kefir to grow in fresh milk.

It is difficult to say what it "green mold" because we don't know for what purposes you use this container. Nobody report this, despite we sold several thousands already. Remove it with soap if it is removable, or boil several minutes. Container resistant to boiling.
