I have a conch piercing that is 10 weeks old. It was healing beautifully until after the swelling went down and it snagged a big because the post is now long. I developed a nasty piercing bump in the front and back, I was so bummed. No, these are not keloids but are actually temporary inflammation and hypertrophy of irritated tissue. Keloids are a different problem. I cannot get to my piercer for a downsize due to back to back hurricanes in Tampa so had to find a temporary solution. I did some online research and came across this kind of product but another brand. I didn’t care for the brand so came to Amazon looking for an alternative and found these. These were less expensive, I got more and while they are slightly stiff they seem to actually be silicone. They are like a donut that the post passes through the hole and because I was doing this myself, my piercing was still fresh and I needed to put them on both sides of the post, I cut a slit in it and slid it around the post front and back of the piercing instead. They have stayed on since and not fallen off, it’s been a week. The both of them together made the piercing fit nice and snug, just right to make it move less. I’m certain that the length of the post and movement is what was causing the bump. After 2 days with these in, the bumps disappeared. I think it’s a combination of pressure from the disc (which is what my research says is how it is supposed to work) as well as the stabilization of the jewelry. The bump is a symptom of the underlying problem and these addressed it perfectly. These definitely healed my bumps and my jewelry fits right now. I am going to leave them on until I can get to my piercer to downsize. They are nearly invisible and comfortable, easy to use and the price is great. You get multiple sizes to accommodate your needs.

I would suggest anyone with piercings have a pack of these around. Even if you think you're not gonna need them, you never know and they avoid those ugly trauma bumps your piercing can get when hit too much. I needed them for my second nose piercing which kept coming out right after it got done due to only having a stud with a straight bar in. Because it kept coming out during the healing process, it started to develop one of those bumps so I bought a pack of these. I put one on the outside and one on the inside of my nose, and it worked at flattening it out which was a life saver for me.

Literally a miracle item. I’m using it for my rook piercing. I had a massive irritation numb and it went flat within a week of having this on!! I’ve now just kept it on for the past couple months and I no longer have a painful, irritated piercing! Make sure to still clean underneath it well!

While these did work for me really well, I had to cut a slit in them to get it over my nose ring because it was a new piercing and I couldn't remove the jewely to put the thing on. Love the size options.

These are perfect for my earrings with screw on balls. I wear earrings with screw on balls so that I can wear them all the time and sleep in them without them poking me with the earring back. The only problem is, they slide forward with the extra space between the earring and the earring back (ball). One of these holds the earring upright and doesn't slip. I recommend these.
