Great product and fast shipping

Very impressed with this product. I held a propane torch at full blast on a piece of it for a minute. The piece was barely changed and was cool enough to touch within 10 seconds. I'm using it to make an area for charging lithium batteries. Cheap protection if one should have an accident. The first picture is the burnt side and the second picture is the back side.

Used this installing coils with solder and map gas. Worked great. Super close contact and nothing caught fire or charred. Still looks new and should last awhile.

I just wanted other bonsai aficionados to know about this because it works great for protecting live branches when torching deadwood, better than foil and reusable. It's also fun to demonstrate how well it resists heat by hitting it with a torch while holding it against your skin!

Easier to work with and safer than ceramic fiber.

I was a bit nervous about sweating some copper fittings and not burning something in the process, and let me tell you this thing works as advertised, if not better. The product has a great thickness and it cold hold the heat from MAPP gas without a problem, well worth every penny.

I got these two protect areas near where I'm welding. They seem to work really well. I tried putting a propane torch flame directly against the protector and with my hand on the opposite side I could feel just a tiny bit of warmth. And clearly insulates well. And well it turns orange where the hottest part of the flame hits it, there is no burning. There is somewhat of a smell emitted from the protector when heating it directly with a propane torch, but it's not very strong. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is that if I try to tear it I can actually tear it with my hands, so it perhaps isn't quite as strong as I would like.

The plan is to make a cover for my smoker to help hold in the heat. I have not done that yet but I did cut a piece to cover my toaster oven top, non vented side & front door. What a change, my oven was dangerously hot on top and the front glass, now just warm to the touch.
