Women's 2976 Chelsea Boot with Zips

As expected, the quality of this brand is amazing.I have two other Doctor Martens boots/shoes (different models) and I LOVE them as well.This brand's shoes last forever and look so cool!!.I wear a size 6 ½ or 7 in USA sizes and for Doctor Martens I wear a size 4, it fits perfect for my taste, not too loose, not too tight.These are the pros and cons of these boots:Pros:- The quality of the leather and the shoe in general is outstanding.- The sole is very comfortable, walking on them feel immediately comfortable, kind of bouncy.- The round-toe tip gives your toes plenty of room to feel great and walk without any discomfort, even right out of the box.- Having two zippers on each shoe (one on each side) makes it really quick and comfortable to put on on take off. These will be my boots to-go while air traveling, it takes seconds to remove and put back on for TSA security checks :)- The style is beautiful and very cool.- The leather is soft and of great quality, although it needs some break in at first.- Having had other boots from this brand, I know that these boots are gonna last for at least a decade or more. Worth every penny.- They look amazing with any kind of clothing I wear, pants, dresses, mini skirts, shorts etc, they make every outfit look better.Cons:- I have thin ankles and these boots are too tight on that area, I have to wear them with all 4 zippers half way down, or else they get painfully uncomfortable, I cannot imagine how these will fit on anyone with thicker ankles. I know that in time and with use the leather will loosen up and they will feel better, but by now the tightness is an issue.- The instep of both feet feel pressure from the leather, making it uncomfortable, but I know the pressure will subside with use.- I'm sure if I order one size up all these issues may disappear, but sadly one size up is way too big for me so I'm keeping these until the leather gets a little looser.- Keep in mind that UK size are completely different than American sizes, the first time I purchased boots from Doctor Martens I had to try 3 different sizes until I got the perfect fit.(I'm 6 ½ or 7 in the USA, but I use size 4 in Doctor Martens sizes.)These are my favorite boots right now and will keep wearing them until I get a new model from this same brand. Durable, beautiful, very well made and super cool, definitely a must have in your closet :)* I'm attaching photos, because of the angle and lens distortion of the camera, my ankles and calves may look thicker than they are and the boots a little chunkier than they are as well.

The boot itself is good - I normally wear a 10 - but whew - it was HUGE - even with thick socks it fit OK - but clumped around. If you normally wear an 11 - then the 10 would probably work fine. The 9 was Ok fit -- the arch didn't fit where the arch on my foot is so that presents a challenge - if I added different inserts it made the 9 too tight. My input on Size - if you are a loose size 10 with narrow feet - the 9 will fit you perfect. If you are a large with big and wide feet size 10 - go with the 10 - but be prepared that they will look a little oversized. A 9 1/2 would have been perfect but they don't make that size! Just what I was looking for! I purchased these for an upcoming trip to Ireland and Scotland after my search for boots came up with overkill decoration and ungodly price tags. Dr Marten's were my go to decades ago and after a hiatus, I'm glad I went back! The step is still soft and bouncy and there's good arch support. I don't like boots that are loose on the calf, feels sloppy and like my feet will slip out. With that being said, the only small issue I currently have is when they are zipped up all the way, it's a little too tight around my thick calves. I'm sure after some breaking in, they'll be perfect! The best news is that I don't have to zip them up all the way until they are completely broken in! This is the perfect no-muss, no-fuss, comfortable, stylish boot! I think I'm going to purchase in the brown as well!!!

Love these boots. I wear an 8.5/9 US typically. The 9 were HUGE that I tried on in store. And no one anywhere had an 8 to try on, so I came to Amazon to order online. 8's were quite snug when I first put them on, and I could NOT zip them AT ALL. I nearly returned them, but I remember the woman in the store told me they would loosen up nicely. So used the wonder balsam they sold in the Dr. Marten store (any leather conditioner will do though) and I put thick wool socks on, blow dyer heat to them (not too close!) and wiggled and rolled my ankles around. I've done this twice now and worn them around my home and they not perfect yet, but not uncomfortable or painful to loosen them up to fit! They zip up with ZERO effort now. Added photo wearing them at home with wool socks. I'll probably do this 1 more time before I wear them out!

I was super excited to get these and ordered a pair for my daughter and a 2nd for myself when they were on sale. The reviews about UK sizing and the attached size chart led me to understand (incorrectly) that these were sold in UK sizing. I purchased from the US and these arrived based on US SIZING. I had to return both pairs because I'd ordered based on UK sizing and the sale ended. My bad luck but hopefully this review will help the next person. There seemed to be a lot of conflicting info in the Amazon reviews and questions. I highly recommend that the seller clarify on their Amazon webpage what sizing type they are shipping. If you order a size 5 is that a UK 5 or a US 5? I thought I ordered a UK 5 but received a US 5. Big difference! That said, Doc Martin shoes are excellent. I got through college, trekked across Europe and wore mine well into my 30s before having to replace my first pair. I would definitely buy a pair again some day.

BEWARE Although the shoes are perfect sizing is literally a HUGE issues My bad I should have read all the reviews about sizing not just looked at the “fits right” percentage. These run BIG. All the reviewer seem to be 1/2 sizes so sizing down is perfect. I just read a review for a size 10 galLike me and she went down one size and tooo small now. So for future buyers If you wear a half size in shoes going down to the next full size works great. If you wear a full size shoe going down one full shoe size will not work. Too small 😢

Love the boots. Zippers on both sides make it easy to put a boot on. I wear 8.5 women size. Ordered size 8 and there is still room left. Very well made. Will be wonderful for rainy cold weather.

I am a convert to DM boots - I have range of them now but I didn't have any Chelsea boots. I know sizing can sometimes but an issue but I stuck to my usual size 5 (UK) and crossed my fingers they would fit. Well from the minute these were on my feet they were comfy, nothing like some of the other boots I already own, these needed no breaking in time whatsoever, were much easier to take on and off thanks to the double zip arrangement, and the size 5 was a perfect fit. I know some people said that they couldn't do the zips up completely but if you find one side does up fine, but the other won't go all the way to the top, it doesn't matter. If it only had one zip I think this would have been an issue but the two zips lets you tailor fit these to your own requirements. I did add DM dubbing to these boots as I know that I will end up at some point wearing them in the rain, such is the British weather, so the added dubbing helps seal the areas around the stitching. I think these are great, in fact so good, I bought the winter lined version as well.

Firstly I'd say go down a size (if you are in doubt) I initially ordered a size 6 (I'm 5.5) and the boots were too big. A 5 fits perfectly. I also know that leather will stretch over time so I'd say don't worry if when zipping boots up you fear a snug fit. Wore them at weekend for first time and no issues regarding blisters. Very happy with my purchase.

What can I say? They are Docs they are comfortable and really cute and I am in love. Have several different styles but these are by far my favourite ones. Go with absolutely everything and get too many compliments to count. Buy them!!!!

I've got several pairs of DMs, but these are definitely my favourite so far. They are the most comfortable pair I have ever owned, with no breaking in period or problems with fit. On top of that they look great on. The double-zip is fantastic and the fit around the ankle is close so you don't have an annoying gap at the top.

I don"t usually bother to write a review but these boots deserve one! I bought them last year and had a few months to test them especially in the rainy weather. Not only they passed the test but I have to add that these have been the best buy ever! The fit is perfect (I am size 3) ..very comfy and warm too...seems like wearing slippers, also they are waterproofed and strong..the leather is so soft it adds an extra to the brand and so the 2 zips on each side. Costumer service is very nice, polite and helpful :)
