4 PCS 1/4Inch NPT Air Tool 360 Degree Swivel Fitting Portable Air Tool Adapter,Air Hose Connector

These 360-degree air swivel fittings are very well made but part of it is made of aluminum. When you see NPT and aluminum used together it raises a concern. The male part is made out of steel with an NPT thread that fits as expected into a 1/4" air tool port. The female threading albeit advertised as NPT isn't. My air plugs threaded all the way down to their collar without resistance. As you know, NPT threads are meant to be tightened down to cause thread galling thus creating the seal. Teflon tape is a lubricant to aid in the tightening but do not depend on the tape to act as a sealing agent. That won't happen and is likely the reason a reviewer has air leaks.If you purchase these swivels, use a thread sealer like Loctite 545 or you can use a thread-locking agent like blue Loctite 242, available just about everywhere. I use 545 on all my air fittings as well as my hydraulic fittings, never a leak. I have used Loctite 242 on air fittings from time to time and no leaks. Just give the Loctite the time it needs to cure.After installing these swivels and giving the Loctite the cure time, my soapy spray bottle told me success, no leaks with the threads or with the swivel itself.

I got tired of my air line being in the way, I put one of these between the air line and the coupler, now my air tools seem like they're not even hooked to an air hose. Gives me full motion

This isn’t me buying the wrong thing and it not working for me. These do not properly fit into a female 1/4 npt. You might be able to make them work with Teflon but they you can barely get two or three threads in. Garbage.
