Classic, SPAM Canned Meat, 12 oz Can (12 Pack)

Was pleased to have found this at a decent price one thing I found that I enjoyed doing was spam is to cut it paper thin lengthwise and slow fried in a skillet where it comes out like bacon absolutely delicious give it a try at some point

Have loved this stuff since a kid (and Im 65 now). Is mostly made from pork and is somewhat salty. It is precooked and can be eaten cold or warmed up.Eaten by itself, it makes for a great tasting meal that can be heated within a couple of minutes of microwave. It can be cut very smoothly with even plastic utensils. Don't eat it every day though as it has a lot of salt content and isnt considered by most a healthy meal. More of a quick meal or snack. Also if eating too much it can act as a mild laxative. So serve as a treat or balanced with other foods to avoid the downsides. The gelatin coating when first removed from the can cooks right off within a minute of heating.

"The" camping companion. I recently went on a camping/road trip and Spam was my favorite dish. You can easily fry it in a pan without oil because of the fat content. Crispy coating with a soft, juicy middle. You can spoon it out into a soup to add flavor, protein, and consistency. Tastes delicious in a split pea or lentil soup with rice. Finally, you can just eat it out of the can if you're in a pinch. Always delicious and filling. It's the one food I'm sure to bring on every camping trip.

If you like Spam there is nothing I need to say. If you haven't tried it with eggs over and whole wheat toast you haven't lived.

Good to have on hand for a quick meal. Lots of prep methods will work.

If you grew up in Hawaii then you know this is an absolute cultural staple in most households over here. Its great for musubis, spam and eggs, spam and green beans, spam and cabbage and so on. You can do so much with this and thats why a whole case of these are needed. Dont eat this straight out the can by the way. That's nasty, cook first then give em a try. I've seen so many people on socials try this and they try em right out the can which is so odd to me. Fry em up and eat em, give it a try!
