SO fun!
As a kid I loved paint with water books - this is next level. Highly recommended. Just be aware, the entire book is not paint with water, only certain pages. The only downside is that it gives you a key of how to tell which are which (color, or paint) but then they never put the corresponding symbols on each page - oopsie! So you kind of have to recognize which are which by sight, but still worth the purchase!

Non messy
This book is great when you have young kids that may not be the cleanest when it comes to art, just wet the brush and the color appears, very fun for any Harry potter fan

Fun
This reminds me of my childhood when my mom would give me a small cup of water and q-tips to work on paint with water pictures. The images are captured from the movies, so much more advanced from those children books i used. If you don't want a muddy mess of the colors blending together be sure to take your time and don't flood the page with water.

Pretty book with 24 paint with color 12 regular coloring pages
The book itself is really pretty and sturdy, much nicer than the paint with water books I had growing up. It also comes with a paintbrush, and the back cover has a flap that you put behind the page you're painting on to protect the pages behind it.It's a bit smaller than a B5 or composition notebook, to give you an idea of size. The images are positioned landscape (as opposed to portrait), so they're wider than they are tall. However the book doesn't lay flat but the pages are perforated. The binding on mine was a bit off and it took a lot of careful bending and pressing and careful pulling, and I still ripped a page I tested. The back flap has a key with tiny icons to show which pages are for coloring and which are paint with water, however it's hard to tell which images they represent as they're rather small, and the icons are in color and the pages themselves are black and white. There is tiny, unreadable print that appears to list page numbers under the images, but the pages themselves don't have numbers.Really the best way to tell the paint by water and plain coloring images apart is the thickness of the lines of the drawings. The regular coloring pages have thin lines, the paint by water pages, have thick black lines (that contain the paint).I haven't tried painting or coloring yet, as the book is so nice, I'm afraid to mess it up.Just after I bought this book, if you're looking for more paint by water books... I saw a review for a company called Usborne that makes "Magic Painting" books, I believe these have perforated pages you can tear out. I think they also come with brushes and a back cover flat that protects the pages under the one you're painting on. I'm curious how they compare, though they seem designed for younger kids and obviously aren't HP themed (seems like Thunder Bay has rights to publish HP), but they seem cute too. I think they only have about 15 images to paint, even though it says they are 32 pages.

It’s magic!
I love these paint with water books! It really is magic how the black& white drawing suddenly has colors appear. My only complaint is that there seems to be more coloring pages then paint with water. If I wanted a coloring book I would buy one.
