It’s a Sony!
I’ve been using this exact remote for almost 7 years and I was thrilled to be able to replace it with an exact match for almost half of what I paid for the original. This one did not come with factory documentation, just the bare remote, but that was no problem for me. The operating/programming instructions are available at esupport.sony.com or type RM VLZ620 into your search engine and it should take you right to it. By the way, I don’t see a single scratch or blemish.Obviously I love this remote. It offers control functions for my cable Motorola DVR that I don’t get with the Time Warner (now Spectrum) remote and it has the learning capability to customize it to my personal taste. It’s fairly simple to set up and program and it feels great in my hand. The buttons are not backlit but they are easy enough to see in low light and backlighting kills batteries anyway (did you ever have to turn on a light to see the backlight button?, kind of a waste!). Most importantly, it’s the one I’m used to!

Excellent replacement remote
This is second time around. First unit lasted 6 or 7 years. Still works but sometimes requires additional pressure to activate (i.e., volume / mute buttons). Has many preprogrammed devices and the ability to learn commands from another remote. Fairly good ergonomics. Excellent value.Update 5/31/2019 - Due to TV and sound bar upgrades, had to revisit the different features available with this unit. It was a little more involved due to the interaction of sound bar but figured it all out (had to download the user manual). I am so impressed with how good and yet inexpensive this remote is.There are so many codes supplied that you should be able to find one that will work for your devices. If not, you can always teach the unit commands from other remotes. In addition, it has four System Control buttons where you can define a series of steps to each button. I am able to turn on (and off) the cable box, TV and sound bar through a single press of one button. You can do a lot more than that if needed, just follow the instructions in the user manual. One thing I forgot to mention previously, aside from the very good ergonomics, this remote has excellent power. I am so impressed with it that I have since purchased two additional units from other sources to use in my bedroom and office. Excellent product.

Bait and switch! Not "Learning" remote!
The item shown is NOT what I received. I received a Sony RM VZ-320 remote. This is NOT a "Learning" remote. I used my old remote with Windows Media Center and need to teach the new remote the keys for it to work with my computer. THIS REMOTE DOES NOT have a learning feature. You can only program manufacturer's codes into this remote. A complete waste of money for me!

Works on Sony TV
This is the actual Sony remote, even has the Sony name on it, but not the high price directly from Sony. Works perfect. I have two Sony Bravia models and it works on both with no isues.

i think its used?
its has dings all over it and the back was scuffed up however when comparing it to the same brand and version of remote that i have owned for years the ware looks more like it was just in a pile unpackaged. the buttons all work well, and there is no ware on the buttons at all. given these are almost impossible to find i might buy another like it for the price.

Works but might need to program
Mine came and did not work for my SONY receiver. I owned the original SONY remote years ago and it worked well. So before I returned it I went to the SONY website and used their programming instructions. Found the right code and now it works like the original. Hope this helps someone
