in my house, we do not have a programmable thermostat capability. So I had to get creative to stop people from continuously changing the air conditioner to low settings and driving up the power bill to high settings. This device works beautifully. It has changed air conditioning in our house to set times at set temperatures the lock feature having a code works perfect for when my husband or I get home we can adjust the thermostat and no one else can access it. This is a must have for any house that needs to control your air thermostat.

We bought this because an issue had developed with the thermostat being changed and no one ever knew who did it. The installation was easy and the lock mechanism works fine. The only issue is that the case does not fit well on the track. It is not difficult at all to pop it off. We have found it on the floor a few times. While it seems to be headed in the direction we wanted to go....the security is just not quite what we had expected.

This was the replacement of another lockbox I bought and returned.It was so simple to set the code and mount on the wall. The cover on this lockbox comes completely off, making it so much easier to install the base plate. The above returned lockbox claimed their lockbox wad less likely to be torn off the wall when locked due to the hinged door. Any of these plastic lockboxes can be tore off the wall by someone who wants to get into them. The big difference on this lockbox is the ease of setting the code and installation. This lockbox will deter the average person who likes to constantly turn up the heat or turn down the AC. Buy this lockbox and save yourself the time and frustration of setting the code and installing over your thermostat.

Easy to install and keeps my 3 year old from making the house 90 degrees on an 85 degree day.

Very flimsy. It does the job to keep my mother with dementia off the controls. But if it were anybody else they could defeat this in seconds. I mean a smart kid with a coat hanger would be in this thing faster then a fat kid on Oreos. Mmmm Oreos. I got go.

We used this to keep an elderly person from putting the temperature so low it was freezing up the central AC/ heating coils. No issues with install. It would not keep out a persistent person, but for our purposes it was great.

I purchased this item in October to install for the upcoming summer months because my child will not stop turning down the a/c temperature to ridiculously low temperatures.I obviously didn’t need it during the winter months, so I waited until it began tongue hot enough to use the a/c again.I’ve just taken the cover out to install and changed the code as per the instructions. The new code does not work. I tried it several times, and now the cover won’t open.I went to the Amazon website for suppport, and the only support options are self-troubleshooting topics, none of which have anything to do with the code.All I want is customer support who can potentially help me resolve this problem, but there is none. I now have a useless piece of plastic I can’t get refunded because it was purchased in the fall for use in the summer.
