They may not be pretty, but they work
They're simple & they work. A little small to fit your blade? That's what files are made for. Stripped out the stud? You don't need 40 freakin' foot/lbs of torque -- file it to fit snugly, a dab of Lok Tite and snug it down. It ain't rocket science. I turned a really nice Civivi Praxis into a great Praxis... Thumb, flipper, reverse. Fidgets like a dream and it actually looks pretty doggone good. Used 3 more on 2 beater flippers and an old, traditional ( but very nice) Al Mar, and now they're all being used instead of in the junk drawer. 2 for 8 bucks? A deal. BTW: all 4 had to be filed, which only took a couple of minutes per, and afforded a nice, snug fit to each.

For Now I'm Giving These 4 Stars. Read on...
The Short Story...They get it done, with a caveat. These do not fit a Gerber Gator 650. So I had to use a small file and remove material to get as good a fit as possible (see pics). You must have a fit that is not loose or just a little tight on the blade. Both of which has its own problems. After getting the fit I wanted I lightly tightened it into position as noted in the pics. I removed the locking screw and put in a couple of drops of a tuff bonding glue and re-secured the locking screw into that position. What happened fortunately worked out because the screw head stripped out just at the right time ie the attempted last turn of the wrench or I would have been Highly P***ed! Also the Thumb Stub acts as a jimping block which is nice. Also the placement I choose allows the knife to sit in it's pouch perfectly for insertion and extraction. The Long Story...The price on these are very good. Each one comes with its own Allen Wrench and is individually packed, that's great. I'd say they are made of a medium (not as good as hard nor soft) grade of metal. Which in my situation works out good, at least for now. The pictures you can view is my 1990's Gerber 650 Gator. As you can see it is a truly working knife and not a safe queen or pocket impressor (not a real word but you get it) which is why I purchased this knife. It does not have a pocket clip which I'm good with. Nor does it have a quick opening apparatus, that sucks. Hence me finally finding and getting around to buying these thumb studs.More of the Long Story...Does the blade fly out "Butter Smooth" (Har Har)? NO! But the blade is smooth with one stop point because its a lock back blade which I prefer. I do not care about the blade flying out trying to impress the masses. Did I mention this is a friggin working mans farm life knife? Well it is, what I need it to do is more important than impress others than anything else so it is razor sharp. Having the this Thumb Screw on my Gator 650 makes my life easier and more efficient. Got-Ur-Done!The Ending Of The Story...I would buy these again but you have to be careful. You may have to own some smaller files and be very careful removing the inside material. Regardless you must have some lock tight type of very good glue. And be careful in your final placement and be very careful during the final tight down.Yes I would buy again but I will update if things change.

Works
Works fine, I put low strength loctite on the set screw, suspect it will be there long after I'm gone

Won’t fit if the blade is shallow.
The clips attach easily enough, and appear relatively stable if you don’t ham-hand the provided Allen wrench. However, on a LOT of the knives I would like to use these, the attachment is too deep to be useful.Example: the ubiquitous Swiss Army Tinker. One of these studs will fit, but not at the base—it has to attach all the way out by the fingernail cut. Well, that’s fine, that’s where you would normally open it, right? Yes, but now you have a 1/4 inch (1 cm) stud stuck in the business end of your blade. Whittling will be out of the question; slicing anything deeper than an inch is now ruined. I also looked at a Boker (Tree brand) knife and an older Camillus knife that I own, and the studs won’t fit them at all due to the nesting of multiple blades. So, if you have a single-blade knife where these will fit near the base, they may be useful, but for most of my other knives they are not.

works
it fit my buck Aspire perfectly. It had made my knife much easier to use with my arthritic hands.

Fits knife blade nicely
Fits on a CJRB Pyrite Alt nicely! The blade has a finger hole to deploy the blade but just couldn't deploy it consistently.Found these replaceable thumb studs and they work great for my application.Make sure you know your blade thickness before you order them.
