Keeping the local wild birds happy
I’ve been ordering this food again and again. The local birds love it. The price is right. And it’s a good quality. Very happy and grateful. The birds like it too, especially in the cold winter months. Will order again. Thank you

Attracts a Wide Variety of Birds
The Kaytee bird feed mix was added to our tree-hung feeder and instantly attracted a wide species of birds, both small and large. Up to 10 birds were observed perching onto the feeder. Small wrens as well as larger Cardinals perched together getting their fill of this mixture. A resident squirrel would occassionally hang ten while helping himself to this seed. Clearly, the Kaytee mixture appeals to many of these winter birds as they come back every day for more. A highly recommended bird feed.

Product was fresh.
Product was fresh and a competitive price. It had not been sitting on the shelf for a long time and had not begun to deteriorate. Received it quickly and as promised.

the best bird feeder stock I've found so far
Birds go nuts (no pun intended) for this seed and fruit mix. I see pretty much all of the birds listed in the product description and then some routinely at my Squirrel Buster Plus feeder (an excellent feeder btw, if you are in the market). During the warmer months they'll go through a full feeder (~3 liters) in about 3 weeks and during the winter in less than a week. In fact, winter snow cover attracts so many birds it's like a scene out of a Hitchcock movie, with 30+ birds clustered around the feeder and resting on the branches of nearby bushes. During and just after a big snow the bright red Cardinals the food attracts are absolutely stunning to watch against the all white backdrop. And during the Fall the fat little squirrels will spend hours a day attempting to decipher the secret of how the birds can so easily get access to that delicious smelling food that always seems to be just out of their reach, which is frankly almost as fun to watch as the birds. But I digress; this feed is slightly more expensive than some other brands, but I never saw anywhere near the numbers and variety with cheaper mixes. My only complaint would be that one bag delivered during the summer had insects in it that I suspect must have laid eggs in the mix at some point and then flourished in the moist heat with such a plentiful food source because they were all over the inside of the bag. That wasn't a problem for the birds, they eat the insects as happily as the seed, but it did make it impossible to store inside the house. Storing outside is also problematic because I've seen squirrels relentlessly chew threw multiple layers of cardboard and hard plastic to get at the seed if they can smell it. In the end I started storing bags inside an airtight chest fridge in my garage wrapped inside two layers of tied shut garbage bags (to ensure no bugs make it out). The lack of oxygen and the cold keep the insect population dormant and the birds don't seem to mind the cold and/or frozen seed. A more robust airtight bag would solve some of these problems, but I found a solution readily enough and I suspect most people buying seed in bulk like this will have their own solutions to the problem, but just something to keep in mind I suppose. So bottom line I think this premium mix is excellent for attracting a large number and variety of birds to your feeder year round and have no problem recommending it to anyone who wants a busy feeder outside their window. Just make sure you have a way to store it.

Bird feed with no waste.
I like this because there is no waste. No mess to clean up after. Pricey but seems to last.

Huge Hit for Cardinals
I switched from a different bird seed to this one, and started seeing cardinals on the regular. Great buy.

The birds love this food
I tried a few different bird foods when I first put up my bird feeder. Now I seem to be responsible for several flocks of birds. Living in Washington State, I first had small birds at my feeder and now, I have all different types and sizes seemingly arguing over the food. I put up another feeder this week thinking that would prevent me from filling my one 2-3 times a day. This has only resulted in more birds coming to my front porch, there must have been 30 + today.

Bird Seed Blend
I was disappointed in this blend. It was mostly small black sunflower seeds with a few peanuts, dried fruit and seeds thrown in. My birds left all of the sunflower seeds so they didn’t get much satisfaction from it. Don’t buy this mix unless your birds like black sunflower seeds.
