You have 4 different settings, #1 being no liquor #2 being the weakest #3 is midway and #4 is the strongest, just turn the dial and push the button. Anything after that would be you topping it off with top shelf, or like I do...all my liquor is 100 proof or stronger.

The machine will still make the drink using the amount of water required, and most drinks will pour water, even on strong. But other than this, yes. as long as the barcode is in tact, you can use the same pods to "pour a shot", if not a little watered down.

It uses the water at the end of every drink it makes. I believe it for both to clean and for the drink.

Each pod has specific spirit requirements. Most are only a single type of spirit, but some pods use multiples. The Long Island Iced Tea pod does automatically pull from 3 spirit bottles to make the drink.
