Minus33 Merino Wool 2003 Lafayette Women's Lightweight Wool Tank Top

Excellent fit
Cut perfectly to hide bulges and yet has a form-fitted look (not too loose or drapy).Very soft (as are all my other Minus 33 items, which have all held up great in the washer and dryer). This shirt is 10 grams lighter than a black cotton I have that's the same cut, but it's not sheer. Perfect weight for a tank. Really high quality seams and material.I have liked everything I've purchased from Minus 33 -- and a little better than Icebreaker, especially when it comes to fit.

Good quality
Very soft, warm and lightweight. A bit expensive as all merino wool is, but worth it and as a base layer I am really appreciating it

I am obsessed with this tank top! It’s the perfect layer.
I ordered my first Minus33 Merino Wool shirt when I was going to Canada last year in the middle of February. It was amazing, and kept this born and bred southerner toasty warm. But when I came home, I realized I wouldn’t need to wear it more than once or twice a season in NC. And even if I got a more lightweight version, I would still have 2 key problems: 1. The neckline on traditional thermal shirts is very high, making layering under normal shirts difficult, and 2. The arms often aren’t tight enough to comfortably layer under a normal shirt. This means I would have trouble wearing it with work clothes, and since I travel for my job, I don’t want to take up a lot of space in my suitcase with layers and sweaters. Then I found this tank top. It’s amazing. It’s super soft (not itchy at all), keeps my core warm, has a scoop neckline that works even with my v-neck shirts, and without sleeves, solves the problem of bunched up arm layers. It’s perfect. I now have 3 of them. I’ve worn them all winter, and found that I actually wear fewer, thinner, layers to stay warm. They also take up almost zero space in my suitcase! And since merino wool is odor resistant, you can go several wearings without having to wash, which again makes it perfect to travel with. It may seem pricey at first, but try one. You won’t be disappointed.

The tank top isn't loose like the model in the picture
I'm 5'3 and 110 pounds. I bought this in XS and it fit perfectly. The tank top isn't loose like the model in the picture. It is fitted, which is the way I like it. I wear this under thin long sleeve shirts to keep warm. The shirt isn't see through so I can also wear this tank top by itself too. I have worn this tank top in 50 F under a thin long sleeve shirt and it has kept me warm. However, the wool makes my skin kind of itchy, hence the 4 stars instead of 5.

Love this tank top
I have had my wool tank top for about nine months and I still love it. It’s been washed and dried many times, but still looks good. I love the fact that wool does not hold smells. I have the tank top and I have longsleeve wool tops and love them all. They are so warm and soft.

perfect merino tank
Minus33 are the best base layers, and worth the price. Don’t bother with cheaper alternatives. This tank is cut well, neckline is low enough to wear the tank under other shirts without it showing, the cut at shoulder and armpit is comfortable without showing bra. Looks nice enough to wear alone. Lies well as a base layer. Just what I was looking for. Medium fits me perfectly. Would likely be fine for someone bustier too.

Do NOT buy!
Fabric is very fragile! Holes appearing even before 1st wash in new front-loading washer. More holes after washing according to instructions. I regret this purchase and would love to return. I have NEVER had this happen with any of my many merino items from Smartwool, Ibex, or Icebreaker. Extremely disappointed. :(And yes, item is not as pictured. Very form-fitting.

Does not hold up in the wash
I purchased this almost a year ago but just started wearing it 2 months ago. The fit is great and it is comfortable and does it's job in both hot and cold environments. I was happy with it until I washed it and it got a random hole in it. I remember reading some reviews on this item that mentioned getting holes after washing but I purchased it anyway thinking those were random cases. I washed it a second time and the original hole is now twice as big and it now has a new hole. Obviously since it's been almost a year I can't return it or I would. For the price it's completely not worth it if it disintegrates after every wash; and it does say it's machine washable/dryer. Just letting others know, since I did read this happening to others but purchased anyways...don't make the same EXPENSIVE mistake a did.

Love merino
Nice soft & warm fabric, not flimsy - this will be very durable. Love the red colour. Comfy, well-fitting and well-made.

Merino does not disappoint
Merino all the way. This shirt did not smell even after wearing it 3 days straight.

Great for summer or winter!
I thought I would only wear this shirt when working, but it is so comfortable and I actually wear it all the time! I bought it last year, and it has seen a LOT of use. I will probably buy another one. I clean for a living, so I need a thin, airy wool fabric to keep me cool when I get sweaty. It really does wick away moisture like no other fabric! And the fact that it is a tank top means there's no armpits that get sweaty, and I don't have to wash it TOO often. I have also appreciated this shirt as a high quality base layer in the winter months. When I wear a cotton shirt against my skin under a sweater and winter coat, I WILL feel gross and sticky after walking a little while. But this wool tank top is a better option, because like I said, it wicks moisture. It's a useful property all year around!

Awesome
Excellent quality, washes very well (I wash this tank top twice/week) and is so comfortable it feels like I'm wearing nothing. The fit is regular and I wear it to bed, around the house, layered underneath for cold Fort McMurray weather. I'm a huge Icebreaker lover and was disappointed that the 150 series tops develop holes in the wash over time. This did not, and I treat it a lot worse due to how much less expensive it is. Love this brand.
