Exact OEM Replacement, Everything is there
So I have a 2004 Ford Expedition XLT with 160,000+ Miles and felt it a good time to do a Transmission Filter change before I go on a roadtrip and seeing as it had never been done on my vehicle. I just have to say the new one shipped fast, and came exactly the same as the old filter and fit just as perfect. The gasket seal that pushes into the transmission comes attached and ready to install. On these Ford Transmissions the Transmission Pan gasket is a reusable one and therefore you just needed the filter (Check with your specific vehicle on this though first!). I’ve never dropped the pan but it was fairly easy and then getting the Ford OEM Mercon V off Amazon made refilling to factory spec easy on me and my piece of mind. Transmission shifts way smoother and rides smoother than it did before, can’t wait to put some miles on before the trip and check for leaks, although as of now I have seen none at all! Did it all myself👌🏼 Update: Vehicle ran flawlessly, we had it until about 198000 miles when my parents decided to trade it in for a new vehicle for them. (Sad for me haha). But vehicle was always reliable after changing that transmission filter, never any hesitation or slippage, always made sure to use Ford Mercon V Automatic Transmission Fluid to stay true to factory spec.
