My daughter shares a room - she wanted nightlight, my son wanted dark. The giraffe is super cute, soft to hold, sturdy, lights well, and my not quite 2 YO easily could turn it on and off, this was not the solution we had hoped for, unfortunately. The light was a little bright for sleep, in our experience, and ended up being used more as a toy than comfort. We didnt return it because I think as they get older it might be a nice night-light for nighttime bathroom runs, but for our purpose as a nightlight it didnt work out. I love that it has a charging station instead of batteries!

This product is amazing. It deserves the five stars. I’ve only had here for a week so I can’t speak on the lifespan of the battery but it’s easy to charge and bright enough. I’ve been planning on transitioning my daughter from cosleeping to her crib. The problem is my room is very dark at night and the night light I purchased for her last time times out after four hours so in the early hours of the morning I have a scared 15 month old because she can’t see anything or find her bottle. This was the perfect solution. It’s bright enough that I can cut it on and place it in the crib with her at bedtime and I don’t have to worry if she’ll wake up and be afraid that it’s dark. Now honestly I wasn’t sure what to expect but after only five days of having her in her crib at night, this thing is great. She can use the light to find her bottle and it’s super cute to boot. Now she loves her crib. I put it in with her at nap time too and she rolls around with it and quietly plays with it until she falls asleep with it in her hand. It’s definitely minimized the late night cries and because she can see and find her bottle, I haven’t had to get up and help get her readjusted. Extra perk, it’s bright enough that I can change her in the dark and see fine myself so it eliminates the need to cut another light on and risk waking her up during late night diaper changes. I just remember to turn it off into he morning and place it on the charger so it’s ready all the time. I love that you can set this thing to stay on for 12 hours too by simply holding the on button down until it flashes three times. I was so worried that I was going to have a ton of sleepiness nights getting up and laying her back down during this transition but I’m certain this light fixed all of that. Five starts, would highly recommend. This would also make a great baby shower gift or Christmas present for little ones. Oh and one more thing, yes the light is brighter then I expected but it’s a soft orange color so it’s very calming and not annoyingly bright.

I know this is a bit expensive for a night light but I have used it every night breast feeding. When the little one wakes up in the middle of the night and I don’t want to turn the bedroom light on (which will wake my husband and startle the baby) I grab this light off the charging stand and it automatically turns on. Then I tuck it under one of my bra straps while I get my son to latch and it eliminates just enough that I can see my son and help him latch. Additionally, he is saved from having my iPhone flashlight shinning in his face. The light automatically turns off after a period of time so if you fall back sleep with it in the bed or in the baby’s crib you don’t have to worry about it running all night. Also, it never gets hot, I have no concerns putting this in the crib with my son and him touching it or rolling up next to it.

When/while it worked it was great!!!! I have gone through 4. The first one lasted about a year then suddenly wouldn't acknowledge the charger. The 2nd lasted about 10 months then the same thing. The 3rd one lasted about 8 weeks. My daughter loved it so much I decided to give it another shot, hopping we would get lucky and get one that would last. In just a few weeks it wouldn't acknowledge the charger. Needless to say, I gave this night light plenty of chances to prove that it was not simply a malfunctioning unit.Note* my daughter is a very gentle and mellow child who fell asleep with it then left it on her night stand other then that. It wasn't being banged on or played rough with at all.

We LOVE this nightlight. He’s adorable, has a warm glow, and feels like a soft vinyl. His long neck makes him easy to grab. The charging base makes it very easy for little ones to “plug” him back in. The timed light is great, but my daughter loves when we hold the button down until it blinks 3x, then it stays on until we manually turn it off. It’s bright enough that my 6 year old feels cozy and safe, while it’s soothing and warm enough to not bother the 12 year old in the same room. I love that the 6 year old can bring it with her when she comes in our room in the middle of the night, so I don’t need to turn on a light to get her settled. I wish I’d found him earlier, because he has saved my sanity plenty of nights now!

We switched my son from the crib to a "big kid" bed when he turned 3. He was a bit nervous about the switch and we wanted to get him a night light so that he wouldn't feel so scared and could find his way to the bathroom on his own. But, I wasn't excited about a regular nightlight that stayed on all the time because I don't sleep as well with lights on and I was worried he wouldn't sleep as well in a room with a light on. This giraffe ended up being perfect for many reasons. He thought it was adorable and immediately wanted to snuggle his "little nighttime giraffy." He also liked being able to take it to the bathroom with him so he always had a light. I like that it goes off after 15 minutes, so that when he does fall asleep, it's not blasting in his face all night (since he usually keeps it right by his face at bedtime). He also likes that he has the control to turn it on or off whenever he wants. I did put a little foam sticker on the button so he could find it easier in the dark. It charges easily. The wireless charging pad is awesome because it doesn't rip a cord out of the wall if he runs in to grab it. I unplug the charging pad when I'm not using it. Overall, this nightlight exceeded my expectations and I'm really happy we found it. It made the transition out of the crib much easier.
