The difference between theory and practice
Although theoretically not a product for the " health conscious" as it contains both liquorice and salt (in sufficient quantity both of which may increase blood pressure and cause fluid retention) it is the most incredibly effective remedy for the symptomatic treatment of a sore throat and consequent irritating cough .Clearly the underlying pathology causing the sore throat and subsequent irritating cough would need to be assessed by a medical practitioner.
