HJ75D Jet, Deep Well Pump, 3/4 HP, Cast Iron

Bought this for a spare. Always have used the 3/4hp myres pump. The one I am using now is about 15 years old and there are 2 houses on this well. So bought this one for a spare.

Product replaced a previous Myers pump lasted 26 years. Product was what was advertised at a good price

Really pleased with this pump. I was nervous ordering it because it's really heavy and would not have been cost effective to return if defective but I took a chance and it was perfect. I had the same model installed for the last 18 years and I did not want the hassle of rearranging the existing fittings. This bolted right up (for lack of a better term) and hit us up and running in no time. FYI- I have extremely high levels of iron bacteria in my water which reeks havoc on piping but if I had a water filtration system or softer water I believe this pump would have lasted an additional 18 years.

Missing one of 2 fittings required to connect hose to pressure switch. Threads not properly tapped, unable to attach pressure gauge. Unclear directions. Both supply end connections require 1 1/4" pipe fitting, not what the directions describe. Base not as shown in directions, pump will not sit level on it's own, motor end too heavy and base too narrow. I spent some time picking out what I thought would be a good pump, so far haven't been able to come up with the part to install it.

Well pump replacement some valve issue took several hours to install finally did and running fine

Replaced a 1/2 HP pump that was 40 to 50 years old. This one, if you flush the toilet when the pressure switch kicks off, it will pump to high limit before the water closet fills (by 2 or 3 seconds). I did have to raise the pressure switch range about 4 pounds, when taking a shower the water pressure before the switch kicked in was a little light. A little adjustment to the pressure switch and now I am happy.

Had to get item replaced because of a bad wire placement by Myers. Customer service called Myers and had them give me a replacement. I was very happy with how they handled the situation. I plan on buying from them again.

This distributor must resell returned items. 1st: My pump arrived with the shipping box completely destroyed and the enclosed regulator was laying next to it on the ground. 2nd:. Despite two manufacturing labels stating the motor was wired for 230volts, I found out it was wired for 115volts after I burned up the motor - you know that distinct burnt electrical smell you get when the motor goes..... and 3rd: The pressure regulator was filled with metal shavings and no doubt contributed to burning up the motor.I believe the Myers pump itself is a good unit. I would not purchase from this distributor as their business ethics are quite low.
