Bought this to install a max air fan. The friend who installed the fan for me, said he didn’t use the screws (too short) but that having the kit helped a lot. I’d recommend this to anyone buying a fan to be installed

Ordered a new fan and this kit back on March 22nd 2021. Finally had nice enough weather to get my fan installed today. Which happens to be May 14th 2021. This kit has sat in a box in my home since it was ordered. I've used butyl tape in the past so handling it is nothing new for me.Packaging was easy to open. Screws sealed separately in their own bag inside the main package. The roll of tape was soft and flexible. It went on the fan with zero issues. Tore to size easily. Paper backing came right off.I put the fan into its hole and pressed down firmly. Little to no oozing of tape from under the fan. I waited a minute and gave the fan a light tug and it was stuck to the roof.The screws started easily and ran into the wooden frame underneath the fan effortlessly. Finished tightening them to snug by hand.I found no issues with this kit. If I ever find myself in the position to change out a fan or do a fresh install as this fan was, I will definitely buy this kit again.

I have used this to install a water heater and replace vents on my RV. This is great because it is sticky and holds items into place. Then, when you clamp down on the screws to tighten whatever it is you're securing the product forms to the surface and creates a gasket! It's amazing. I then applied sealant over this, but in some applications that may not be needed. The extra hardware is great to have on hand, but I did not need it. I have enough leftover after the water heater and vents to use in the event I have other repairs to make.

A needed item

this installation kit is for camco 14" roof vent for camper and there weren't enough screws, I had to go to the hardware store and purchase more. The amount of screws for the roof vent are standard.
