Seabreeze Wedding: 5 (Summer Beach)

What struck me about this fifth episode in the Summer Beach series is the love and concern between the two sisters, Ivy and Shelly. They watch out for each other, are respectful of their feelings, and even though they might occasionally bicker, they are genuine and authentic in their relationship. The big surprise at the end showed how Ivy thought about Shelly the entire time, even sneaking into her closet to take measurements. Most sisters aren't as close and caring as Ivy and Shelly. There is competition, jealousy, old wounds, and family favortism that causes schisms between siblings. Not so with Ivy and Shelly. Of course, they had great parents but they also show a lot of maturity and they are the best of friends. This story was so heartwarming and affirming of female friendship and sisterly love. It makes me hopeful and feel good that positive relationships are possible.

Enjoyed the great book and I understand what the meaning is behind Ivy's hesitation with Bennett, but wow she does come across as self-centered...it's all about her looking at Bennett for red flags which tends to put the whole storyline off kilter

While I enjoyed the series I found this book a little too philosophical. It worked well tying evereverything together but it didn't have the same uplifting feeling for me as the earlier books.

Ivy and Shelly Bay are still learning a lot of things about the inn, and they are learning a lot about themselves too. They are both engaged, but the past sometimes causes doubts about the now.A series of events happen that sometimes makes them feel like they are on the right path and have made the right choices, but the same events can also show them why rush into things, take more time, and the brain gives them mixed messages. Sometimes, like most of us, they make life complicated.It is a time of discovering who they are now, deciding the direction of the inn, and their friends, family, and guest of the inn, coming together. This book continues the series so nicely, it answers some questions, but it also leaves us with an opening for another book in the series.

Interesting family dynamics and a lovely story! Great to read something positive! I have read three of the books in the series, and have thoroughly enjoyed each of them!
