Cute packaging and perfect size for the popcorn lover

Fun for movie night! some funky flavors, but loved trying them all! They feel expensive, but are not overwhelming.

...I didn't. I have been on an almost desperate quest to try to recreate the (apparently now discontinued) Cheetoh's brand jalapeno cheddar popcorn in my own kitchen, to no avail. I saw this cute little set, and while it didn't appear to contain the flavor/s I was after, and had a number of horrible reviews, I thought, "Well, just how bad can it be?" I said to myself, "Self, just buy it already. The containers are DAMN cute. So according to the reviews, the flavors are mostly salt-flavor, nothing else. That's ok, you enjoy salt. Just look at it as a fun experiment, and BUY IT already!!" So I did. Big mistake. The reviews were absolutely spot on. Yes, the bottles are darling. If you want to just have some popcorn seasoning deco in your kitchen to look at, go for it. Better yet, if you're looking for a Secret Santa gift for a co-worker you hate, get this. It will look as though you're giving a nice gift, but seriously, it really is simply terrible. I popped a bag of Newman's microwave popcorn, and divided it up into smaller individual serving sizes (butter flavored even, though I think I may have burned it a bit, because I didn't taste any butter, just a rather lightly-burned stale popcorn taste, rather bland.) Perfect blank slate, I thought... so I started with the first flavor, and sprinkled what I thought was a fairly decent amount...nope. Couldn't taste anything, not even the salt. Huh...? no SALT even? What's the deal? Same was true for the next flavor, and the next, and the next. (Sorry if I don't remember the flavor names, and can't be arsed to try to look them up. They were all salty/savory, supposedly, but in taste-testing them, were neither. A few times I actually did taste some salt, when going overboard with the sprinkling, but it tasted chemical, not even like a decent salt flavor, grrr. One flavor wasn't too bad, I think it was like garlic parmesan or some such. It was the only one that I tried that had even a semblance of salt flavor on first sprinkle, let alone a fairly decent cheesy taste. I was hopeful. Then I kept on trying the savory ones on fresh servings of popcorn, and just nope, nope nope. Nothing. I got to the "Kettle" one, and I was hopeful...maybe something other than salt/savory would have an actual taste to it? Well yes, yes it did...but it was just mildly sweet, and the sweetness was far more synthetic than anything else. At that point, I mostly gave up. I skipped the last few of "savory" flavors to try the caramel, and...well, while it was a slightly more natural flavor of sweet than the kettle, you could get the same effect by simply sprinkling some sugar on your popcorn. I give up. Cheetohs, why have you betrayed me like this? I LOVED your cheddar jalapeno popcorn! I am on a quest to reproduce it, and if I can't, I figure that I might as well try out some other flavors just for fun, especially flavors that come in such cute packaging, but nope. No no no....just no. Read the reviews. Trust the reviews. If you're looking for a semi-passable home-made popcorn now that Cheetoh's has apparently abandoned us, I have some tips. But this is not the solution. Even plain old salt would be far more flavorful than this chemically-laden crap, just sayin. So if you're looking for a last minute holiday gift for someone you hate, by all means, entice them with this darling packaging, and watch smugly as their face falls with disappointment once they actually try it. If you think I'm lying and/or exaggerating in the slightest, then by all means, order it for yourself and try it. If nothing else, the jars will look adorable on your pantry shelf, and that's not a totally bad thing. But if you actually want to EAT the stuff, then absolutely look elsewhere. This is no joke, this stuff sucks balls. And sweaty ones, at that...just ick. Just sayin. Back to the drawing board...*sigh*

Great gift, get it for my son every year for Christmas. It's now like a tradition and he looks for it every year.

For cost nah, tiny one serving bottles maybe get two. So small like decorations. Buy full size keeping by popcorn bar.

Bought this as a gift for a coworker who loves popcorn and she loves it!! She used it on both packaged and homemade popcorn and said all the flavors are delicious
