Works right out of box. Great for chain saw and other small engine rpm checks.

I use this to set the idle speed on my chainsaw. Works fast and very clear to read.

Instructions are not written well at all. Lost in translation. Once you figure out how the buttons operate and when and how long to hold them onget the correct settings, then it works good.

I have owned a tachometer for several years, but to use the tach I had to make a mark, usually with Whiteout, on a rotating part so that the laser could count the times the mark passed. Albeit very accurate, one could not use it with ease at all situations. The Gexmil makes taking a tach reading with ease since it is counting the electronic pulses which are being created by the engine. The digital readout makes using the unit easy since one does not have to hold it in a certain position like my laser unit. If you want to work on small engines as I do, the Gexmil Tach is for you. I strongly recommend this unit for its usefulness and affordability. TMc

12/23/22 - As follow up vendor contacted me and provided a replacement free of charge. It is appreciated that the vendor has stood behind this product and was willing to provide a replacement. The new unit has functioned as intended. Based on the vendors excellent customer service and standing behind their product I would do business with them again.This recent purchase was dropped a few feet during use shattering the digital readout making the unit unusable. The outer casing is in perfect condition with no visible marks but the readout has multiple cracks and will not display any information. I am disappointed with the poor durability of this item and will replace with another brand that can withstand minor drops or any other common minor hazard that may be encountered in a shop or outdoor working environment. I have other shop use readout devices that have encountered similar incidents over the years and are still intact and fully functional.

Does not work. While looking at instructions it had a posts note attached that said works fine (I guess)crappy instructions ( reason for return
