There is a light sensor. When you turn on the lights with the controller it triggers it to open and when they are off it closes.

Does it work with the dji rc?

It works using the auxiliary light. When you turn on the light it opens. I use the RC pro, but iirc you can turn on and off the aux light using the DJI fly app.

Will it work on the new dji mavic 3 pro cine?

Yes it will I’ve done 1/2# but it shortens battery life
