Quality of metal is good and the hinges open cleanly. The metal plate floor and the grill fit inside the unit easily for folding. Two problems made me return this immediately. First, some of the metal edges are almost knife edge sharp. The last thing you want is a deep gash in your hand in the woods. This means you have to treat this unit with extreme care, which is a big ask at the end of a 20 mile hike. Second, the hinge pins constantly slide out! The last thing I want to do before a meal is to spend 30 minutes fiddling with the pin to align all 15 hinges so that the pin goes through them all, which you must have to assure stability. If they charged $3 more and fixed these things, the stove would be great. As it currently stands, the stove is a fail AT ANY PRICE due to the possibility of severe finger or hand injury.

Need something for emergencies or camping? this is it, you can basically burn anything in it and cook on it if your in a pinch. feeding twigs into it is easy and it having a dedicated ash tray is immensely handy. it also feels quality, like if i through this at a wall while its fully built, itd probably smash the wall up. This thing will last you years.

Once it caught fire this thing was cooking. Very impressed on how it held up to cook some gumbo.
