Udap Bear Spray Safety Orange Color Griz Guard Holster (Black)

Seems like crazy people are on the road more and more. My work requires me to be on the road 90% of my day. Unfortunately, I’ve encountered a few people who have approached my car because of road rage. I know this is not the intended purpose, but if it’ll make Bigfoot go sit down somewhere and shut up, it’ll certainly take care of a raging driver.

Spray arrived in timely manner BUT the holster does not match the picture.The pictured Holster was the main selling point for me because it looks like you could attach it to anything and quickly access the spray in the event of a bear charge.The holster it came with more or less resembles a sock with a belt loop. Very poor design that gives you less mounting options and increases the time to access the spray.This item is non-returnable/non-refundable and I have yet to hear back from the seller.It’s a shame Amazon doesn’t hold their sellers accountable for deceptive product descriptions like this.Will update this post if I ever hear back from seller.Update: changed my review from 2 stars to 5 stars. Seller sent the correct Holster. Arrived within 3 days.

I would never want to go hunting without Udap bear spray. I like this one because the holster is sturdy. In my state, we are not allowed to carry a sidearm while hunting, so this is our only option for defense against aggressive four (and even two) legged assailants. I had another can of Udap bear spray that had a fabric holster that began to wear out. This is sturdy plastic, so it should not fray, although I suppose it could potentially break. However, it's not flimsy and I think it will hold up for a long while.

Got this before going on a camping trip with a few buddies, because we were going in bear countries. While using the latrine, somehow ended up releasing the safety and firing the stuff, as it was clipped on by belt. Maybe the safety could be made a little harder to remove? A pin or something? Anyways, after the experience trying to sleep that night, I'm very confident that if the stuff was sprayed on a bear's eyes that bear is not gonna be using those eyes for quite a while. If you ever get it on you, strip immediately and run to the nearest body of water. It left a burning sensation on my skin for about 24-48 hours. Sidenote: I also later discovered it had gotten on the TP at the latrine station. That was my first time experiencing spicy toilet paper!

Thank goodness we didn’t have to use the Bear Spray on our recent trip to the mountains near Brevard, NC. So, it was 100% effective!! All family members checked out how to use the spray and found the instructions easy to understand. There had been several bear sightings in the area where we stayed so the Spray gave us peace of mind should we encounter a bear.

A bit of hasty movement caused an accidental 1 second discharge of this in the house tonight. Had 6 people gagging and coughing, and we had to air out the entire house out for an hour. Fortunately, no one took a direct hit.On the bright side, at least we now know it works. :)

Ordered for protection from loose dogs in my neighborhood. There are some big, scarey dogs that I worry could get out of their yards, when I walk my 20lb terrier. Sure enough, last week two big black German Sheppard sized dogs, broke through the dilapidated fence and charged us. They got to within two feet of us when I let them have it, with about a 3 second burst. It stopped them in their tracks and sent them running. Am certain they would have attacked if I had not had this with me! Can still at least half full but just ordered a second can, just in case.

Well I live in the Bahamas..and I'm training on my road bike...I use this to get rid of the stray dogs that have issues with bicycle riders....I have sprayed 4 dogs ..and so far they make a u turn when they see me again ...
