Pretty Good For Iced Tea In A Can
I've been drinking quite a bit of rooibos tea lately, so I thought it would be nice to try an iced tea variety. I have to say this BOS Rooibos Iced Tea variety pack is pretty tasty. You get a six pack for each of the 4 flavors for a total of 24 cans of tea. The flavors include lime and ginger, berry, lemon, and peach. Each can is 300ml which is 10 ounces, so it's a little smaller than other canned beverages. There is one serving per can with only 15 mg of sodium, but it has 12 grams of sugar which I think is too much.Even though it has that much sugar, the tea itself did not taste that sweet. As far as the taste of the lime and ginger tea, there was a light taste of lime, and the ginger came through tasting more like lemon, so it really tasted more like lemon lime tea, which I liked the best. The peach had a very light taste of peach, the berry tasted like grape raspberry tea, and the lemon tea pretty much tasted like normal tea with lemon in it. I was pretty happy with the whole variety packs taste.

All great tasting flavors.
We got the variety pack of these iced teas so we could see which ones were best. One of their selling points is that they plant trees. They plant 1 tree for every 2000 units sold and at current count they've planted 32,000+ trees. The world definitely needs more trees. I like to see a company be concerned about the environment in this way.The are packaged in a case of 24. They are smaller 300ml (10.14 ounce) cans. They are fairly low in sugar and sodium at 12 g each per can. As they are Rooibos tea they have no caffeine. The can states that each can is the equivalent of 1.5 cups of Rooibos tea. In all four the Rooibos flavor is not strong, but it is more noticeable in some flavors than others.Of the four flavors, I found I like the peach the most, followed by the lime & ginger, then the berry, with the lemon flavor my least favorite. None of the flavors are over powering or strong and none have a highly unpleasant artificial flavor that some things have. The peach is similar to most peach iced teas you will find in other brands of flavored tea. I really couldn't taste a lot of the Rooibos flavor in it at all. This was my families and my favorite of all four.Next was the lime and ginger flavor. This one tastes a lot like Canada Dry ginger ale mixed with Rooibos. A very good and refreshing drink. In this one, the flavors are all in equal measures giving a excellent new taste flavor. The berry flavor tea is not as strongly flavored, but you can still taste the berry flavor. The Rooibos is more noticeable in this one, but still not significant. Finally is the lemon. While it is my least favorite, it is not in anyway bad. While I did say that none have that highly unpleasant artificial flavor, this one does have a bit more of the artificial lemon flavor than I would like. It's clear you aren't drinking a naturally flavored lemon drink. You do taste the Rooibos in this one much more though. So you get the Rooibos flavor, but a slightly more artificial flavoring added. They are fairly expensive, but then they are being imported from South Africa, so a higher price is to be expected. That being said these are at a price where I will not stock them in my pantry on a regular basis.

Very sweet ice tea in a small can
I was intrigued by the fact that this product was an import from South Africa. Shows you how the world is connected today. We drink bottled mineral water from Fiji, carbonated spring water from France and now Ice Tea from South Africa. I admit that I passed the cans on to my kids. They were a bit too sweet for my taste, but then I am not a fan of any sugar per se. So everyone else might not have a problem with it. I ordered the Variety Pack which included four flavors. The kids preferred peach. As someone else noticed there is actually no brewed rooibos in this cans. There is rooibos extract. A fine but distinctive difference. This was a nice 24 pack of sweet ice tea. Refreshing on a hot summer's day, just the right portion but not inexpensive.

12g added sugar - and not made with actual brewed rooibos
If you like sweetened, tazo and lipton-style bottled iced teas, you will probably really like this stuff. It's delicious, nice fruity flavor, just a hint of mild rooibos tea flavor. But if you are a connoisseur of real, fresh brewed tea - you may want to pass on these. Here is why:1) There isn't actually any brewed rooibos tea in this, they just use "rooibos extract". That's my biggest issue with this "tea". Considering BOS grows their own rooibos and it's all organic, it's disappointing that these drinks aren't actually made with fresh brewed tea.2) 12g of sugar in each can. It's pretty sweet considering they are small 300ml cans. The high amount of added sugar negates what little health benefits the tea extract offers.Thoughts:These are definitely refreshing, delicious, and very drinkable, but hardly a high quality tea. It's more of a healthier soda alternative, rather than a healthy "antioxidant rich" tea. You can barely taste the rooibos in these, and that is the most important part...The fact that they don't even use actual brewed rooibos is my biggest disappointment with these.
