A riveting, seductive and irresistible sequel
Just because Luc got away once doesn't mean that King Lucifer is ready to give up. Hell wants Luc back and they're prepared to do whatever they can to bring him back and make an example of him.But with Heaven standing in their way, they will have to pull out all the stops to tag his soul once again. And that means going after the only person that Luc cares about. Frannie Cavanaugh. And if Frannie is too strong and too protected then they'll just have find someone close to her who isn't - one of her friends or maybe her new Guardian. Whatever it takes. Because not everyone can resist a demon's lure, not even an angel.***Original Sin is the absolutely riveting, seductive and irresistible sequel to Personal Demons. In this second book in the series the story is even more gripping, with a new character that will keep readers on edge, the intensity is elevated to a whole new level, and the ending is an exquisite torture.Even though Frannie loves Luc, enough to have saved him from Hell to keep him with her, she is still torn. She still loves Gabe. She still needs the peace he offers, his comfort and his protection. But even Gabe knows that she should be with Luc. As much as that thought tears him up inside, he knows that as a Dominion he and Frannie can never be. And so he chooses someone to be her Guardian. Someone he knows cares about Frannie and will make sure to protect her just as he would.Just because her Guardian is new doesn't mean he can't protect Frannie, even with Hell's demons coming after her to get to Luc. But Gabe never expected King Lucifer to send the most prized weapon in his arsenal. And he never knew just how wrong things would go or he would have stayed, no matter the risk to himself. Because being claimed by Hell would have been far less great a price to pay than the one that was exacted.Lisa Desrochers has absolutely done it again. Original Sin is even more intense, more provocative and more electrifying than Personal Demons. The story is a nail-biter and will keep readers tied in knots, long after they've reached the final page. The story switches between each of the main character's perspectives, giving readers the greatest insight about what's going on. The author drops enough hints to make readers aware of all that is happening while the characters remain in the dark, building tension and making this an even more torturous and anxiety-filled read. The story ends in a major cliffhanger that will keep fans of this series in torment until the final book in the series is released.Original Sin is an absolute must read for fans of stories about dreamy angels, delicious demons, steamy love triangles, and ones that will keep them on edge from beginning to end.

Unholy Hell
Original Sin, the second book in the Personal Demons series, picks up just a few weeks after Frannie and Luc (a former demon) have been tagged for Heaven, hopefully putting King Lucifer behind them. Luc in his newly human form has never been happier, and Frannie is delighted with both her boyfriend and her relationship with her dead twin, Matt, who is now her guardian angel. Even though Gabe has left, things seem to be going well until new demons arrive in town, still determined to get Frannie and her Sway, and a mysterious young woman moves into the apartment next to Luc's and begins to infiltrate their lives. Suddenly Frannie's final summer before college is not so easy; Luc must defend Frannie and himself against demons determined to take them both to Hell; and Matt just wants Luc out of the picture.Original Sin is gut-wrenching and very, very dark; we get first hand looks at Hell and Lucifer, and the demons who come after Frannie will stop at nothing to get to her. Luc's admission for how he feels about Frannie is an absolutely stunning moment, but what comes next is even more heartbreaking. I love that Frannie and Luc are not living in a vacuum; the community at large is reeling from what they've done and how far Lucifer is willing to go to get his hands on Frannie's Sway. Possible spoiler...My one issue is how Frannie falls apart later in the book, though with all she goes through, it's understandable. I just want her to remain strong at all times, unrealistic though it might be. And while I can understand her attraction to both Luc and Gabe, the waffling gets a little irritating, but not enough to distract from the overall storyline.I am amazed at how well done Original Sin is; I love that Ms. Desrochers is not afraid to go wherever her characters lead, however dark it may be. I'm impressed that much of what she writes seems based in biblical fact, and the depth of feeling she evokes with her writing is astounding. I wasn't expecting what happened, but I'm totally on board with it. This is a young adult paranormal series that is head and shoulders above most of what's out there right now. I'm just ill that I have to wait so long for the third installment!

Original Sin... More sin and a little disappointment.
This book was not as good as the first but left the plot open to make the third better I suppose. I really disliked the ending. I wont spoil much but the newest evil in the book was a dead giveaway by her name and my only SPOILERS are that much of Frannie's brother Matt's point of view is given and for Gabe lovers, well he isn't really in the book until the last few chapters. Those were extremely disappointing to me. I also didn't like a lot of the things that happened in the plot. I guess the second book in a trilogy is usually the worst, the first gets you hooked, the second gets you through until the third comes out and blows you away. I'm hoping that's the case with this series. Kind of a letdown really. I'm still a huge fan and can't wait to see what happens and who she ends up with. Even though I have a pretty good idea who it is going to be.

Good
I got the book because it makes the audio cheaper! I had to get this because I got My Personal Demon on CD at a library sale and enjoyed it!

It's okay
I'll finish this series just because I happen to have all 3 books but I'm liking Frannie even less in this book. She knows that Gabe will lose his wings if anything happens between them...yet she selfishly tries to pull him in anyway. She continually makes things more difficult for him, especially since she KNOWS she has the power of Sway and can affect the poor guy.The rest of the plotline is okay. But as with the first book, I feel like there's a lot of lust and not a lot of plot.
