Measurements
The brackets are advertised as suitable for 4 x 2 wood. That's 102 x 51mm.The timber (4x2) planed is 95 x 45mm.The bracket will only take 41mm plus corners are rounded so wood will not sit fully into bracket.

Good for security
Having recently moved, I bought these to secure garage doors that weren't very secure. Did the job well with a steel bar across the 2 doors.
