Digitally remastered two-fer from the former Runaways guitarist turned poodle-haired Metal vixen. Out for Blood, originally released in 1983, was Lita's first solo album, followed one her later by her sophomore release Dancin' on the Edge. Both albums show Ford's skill as guitarist and rocker, but she had to wait until later in the decade to score her first major hit singles. BGO. 2007.

A great sounding disc of Lita’s first two releases.
My favorite Lita albums are her first two. They are both captured here on this long playing CD. It sounds fine. My only previous copies were vinyl from the early 80s so this is a welcome addition.

Dancing on the Edge
Lita put out one of the best female Hard Rock/Heavy metal albums--Dancing on the Edge. It's fun, it's hard, lots of power chords and she belts out each song with tons of energy and emotion. She was on fire with this one! Finally, you can get it for a decent price with her first album too....

The start of Lita's solo career.
"Out For Blood" & "Dancin' On The Edge" (1983) (1984).These are 2 very fine hard rock albums by Lita Ford. On her first solo "Out For Blood", you get standout tracks in, the title track, "Just A Feeling", "Ready, Willing and Able", the track that should of hit the hot 100 "Rock 'N' Roll Made Me What I Am Today" (classic!), "I Can't Stand It" and the Troggs cover "Any Way That You Want Me". Her band consisted of bassist Neil Merryweather who was 37 at the time and drummer Dusty Watson, who has been in a number of bands for many years. Lita's second album might be a tad sharper than the first, but the first one still kicks ass. On this release she brings in Randy Castillo on drums (R.I.P.) and Hugh McDonald on bass. Aldo Nova, Robbie Kondor and Jeff Lieb provided synth sounds, Lieb would come out as Jeff Paris on his solo works a few years later. On "Dancin'", we get the smokin' single "Gotta Let Go", the great title track, "Lady Killer", "Fire In My Heart", "Don't Let Me Down Tonight" and "Hit And Run". Lita has made 8 solo albums and one live release, here's my ratings on all her releases."Out For Blood" (1983) ****1/2 Just a great way to start."Dancin' On The Edge" (1984) ***1/2 not as strong as "Blood", but still kicks."Lita" (1988) ****1/2 Lita's masterpiece at the end of the 80's, great song's abound."Stiletto (1990) **** A strong album, that doesn't get any love! Some great tracks here."Dangerous Curves" (1991) **** 1/2 Smokin' album all the way around! Grunge came on the scene here and Lita waited til' 1995 to release her next album."Black" (1995) **1/2 It's o.k.. but something was missing."Greatest Hits Live" (2000) **** A strong live album."Wicked Wonderland" (2009) * Pure rubbish, Jim Gillette ruined this album. Mine went into the trash, i couldn't believe this release."Living Like A Runaway" (2012) ***** A Lita Ford classic 30 years into her solo career! Every song is a winner!

Both releases on the same CD
I love this. I am an "old rock / metal bassist so this is "my thing".Just be aware, this is both releases contiguous on 1 CD. ( not 2 separate CD's)For me- no problem. I put these on the player and let them go at home or at work or wherever.( occasionally picking up one of my bass guitars in the process)

Early Lita Ford
These are Lita Ford's first two solo albums, remastered on a single CD. Out for Blood, recorded in 1983, was marred by inferior production. The songwriting was not as good as on Lita's later albums, and there was a noticeable lack of coordination between the rhythm section and lead guitar. Dancing on the Edge, released in 1984, was a significant improvement, and established Lita as a major force in metal. The melodic ideas and songwriting were more inspired, the playing was tighter, and the production was markedly better. Dancing on the Edge rates four stars, but Out for Blood only two, mainly because of the production issues.

Out For Blood ROCKS!!!!!
Out For Blood Rocks like nothing else! Problem, you can't get the single for love or money. Added to that my tape is on its last legs. So now I find a 2for with the best the goddess of the ever did, and something more. I'm a happy fan boy.
