If you have an air conditioning and heater together like I have high efficiency. You don't want to have too high of a Restricted filter. In 8 is more than enough to clean the air and save money on the air circulator.

I’ve always liked these filters; however, I only used them in my previous house with a vertical vent setup. My new house requires that the filter lays in a horizontal slot in the furnace itself. After only one month, the filter had folded itself practically in half. The filter wasn’t even full. I had the HVAC guy come out and he reworked the filter slot so hopefully when the filter does that again, I can still remove it to replace it. I could understand it if the filter were caked with dust, lint, etc., causing inceased air flow pressure due to a clogged filter, but it wasn’t. The crisscross reinforcement in the filters could be a little more substantial to keep this from occuring. Again, not a problem with vertical vents, but definitely is with horizontal vents.

We replace our furnace filters every month during the seasons when we use the furnace. In the store, they cost more than $20 each so getting a package of 4 for $44 is a very welcome situation.

The filters have a much more sturdy frame than the filters I usually can find. They were in better condition than the filters in stores as well.

They last a lot longer than the 3M and the frame is strong and keeps its shape and will not bow and leak air. It is much better than the 3M trash I used before.
