Phomemo D30 Portable Thermal Printer, Bluetooth Mini Label Maker Machine

I'm usually too lazy to take the time to write reviews, but I was so impressed with this tiny, inexpensive label printer that I felt it deserved one. It instantly exceeded my expectations. Setup took less than 5 minutes, and I'm the type of person who actually reads all of the instructions before getting started. After downloading the app, it connected to my phone immediately and worked without any issues. The print quality is fantastic, even for small fonts. I'm using it to label components on a laboratory experiment, and it has worked flawlessly so far. One warning: the free label roll that comes with the printer is tiny! I would recommend ordering backup label rolls at the same time so you don't run out unexpectedly. Overall, this little printer has been a great value and has performed far better than I expected.

I love this little label maker! It’s compact and portable, and the app makes designing and customizing labels easy. I was able to figure everything out right away without needing instructions. The app offers both free and paid design options, which I didn’t realize before buying. While some of the paid designs may be a little more fun/detailed or offer more variety, there are still plenty of free fonts, templates, and design options to create cute, functional labels without spending anything extra. The battery has held up well especially for quick label printing, and it connects wirelessly to your phone easily. Printing is quick and simple, and it’s perfect for organizing drawers, bins, school supplies, pantry items, and pretty much anything else you suddenly decide needs a label…like your charging cords so your family doesn’t steal them! Definitely recommend.

I absolutely love this label maker! It’s small, lightweight, and very convenient to carry around. The Bluetooth connection was easy to set up, and I love that there are so many fonts, icons, and templates to choose from. The labels print clearly and look really nice. The rechargeable design is also a big plus. Great little label maker for organizing things at home, especially for kids’ items, storage, and everyday organization. Definitely recommend!

The Phomemo D30 is a small and easy-to-use label printer that is perfect for labeling various things around your house or office. I have found it incredibly useful both at home and at work. I’ve already gone through two rolls of 12mm X 40mm labels! Build Quality: The build quality of the device is surprisingly good despite the fact it’s made from plastic. I’ve accidentally dropped it once or twice from about 4 feet off the ground. Besides some slight scratching and having to recalibrate the printer, it's undamaged and continues to work. The App: The companion app that is required for the device to function is easy to navigate and has two different modes. Lite Mode which allows you to create simple text-only labels, and Creation Mode which gives you the ability to create completely custom labels using text, emojis, QR/Barcodes, images, and more which you can save for later use, or as templates! Label Options: The device itself comes with a small roll of 12mm X 40mm labels but there are many other shapes, colors, and designs you can choose from. I purchased a box of the 12mm X 40mm labels, along with a box of continuous labels, and cable tags. 12mm X 40mm: The 12mm X 40mm labels have been great for containers like jars and storage boxes and like I previously said I have already gone through two rolls. I have also used them to label my large collection of random power adapters, so I don’t have to attempt to read the extremely small writing on the base to know what their wattage output is. Continuous Labels: The continuous labels have been useful for basically the same thing, and I’ve mainly used them for longer words where I wanted to keep the font size as large as it can go. Cable Tags: The cable tags have been amazing. I’ve used them to label my power cords, so I don’t have to go searching around for a Type-C to Type-C, or Type-C to Type-A cord. Instead of pulling one out and following it all the way to the other end, I can just grab the one that’s labeled “Type-C to Lightening” and be on my way. Pros: -Sturdy build quality, surviving minor drops. -Easy-to-use companion app with Lite and Creation Modes. -Versatile label options for various objects and purposes. -Cable tags significantly improve cable management. Cons: - Printing speed is somewhat slow. -New label rolls can be a bit tricky to handle due to their tendency to unravel. Conclusion: The Phomemo D30 label maker is an incredibly handy piece of tech that makes the organization and identification of various objects so much easier. For the price, it has very good build quality, and the companion app is well-built and user-friendly. If you want a label printer that is simple yet versatile, I highly recommend the D30. PS: Make sure to buy extra labels. You’ll need them.

I fully intended to rate 5 stars. But I decided to actually print the image first, before rating, while I was playing around on the app. There are some pros and some cons. It's great that you can add your own picture for the label. Great selection of fonts. But a couple of the cons I have noticed this far are.... 1. The printing is a tad messy, compared to what you see on your screen before printing. I have included an example. If you look at the font above the "O" in my cats name. There are some decorative lines that make the font pop. After printing, those lines are no longer there, and the finished product shows a single little squiggle, and the darkness in the background of my cat, is a bit dark, but that is to be expected, when reducing a full sized image to such a tiny label 2. The other con I am going to mention is about the the icons that are supposed to be included. Apparently you can't actually use said icons, because you are required to pay for a subscription to use them. I don't recall it saying anything about that on the product sale page, maybe it did and I missed it, but I'm pretty sure it said thousands of them were included with purchase. I guess that wouldn't be much of an issue, you could do like I did with my cats photo, and save an image on your phone to put there instead. I did have the label perfect with an added cats paw print icon, but I was unable to print out that version, ( or screen shot the examples ) without first paying money and subscribing. The screen shots showed up completely black 3. Also a quick note, it will waste the first label when you print out the test label when connecting your printer for the first time. So keep in mind, you actually get 79 labels, that can be used, instead of the advertised 80. All in all, with those very minor grievences, I like the printer, it will do the intended job that I purchased it for, and the price of $17.08 after tax, was a great deal and I am satisfied with my purchase. I removed a star for the printing quality of the font, and another star for the subscription icons. 3 stars will do it for this rating. Good deal, I recommend.

Love this I find any and every excuse to label things with this label maker. Easy to use minimal set up. I do have to trouble shoot when printing every now and then such as pulling the label paper lightly and misprinting but could be user error.

Great little label maker. Especially nice when used with holographic labels

I hardly ever leave reviews but I had been struggling to find a supplier to do some small labels for some of my products so decided to have a go myself, it only arrived today and I've printed my labels in minutes it's so easy to use and the app is so straightforward, the print quality is great, wish I'd have found this sooner.

Ich habe mir den Phomemo D30 zugelegt, um im Home-Office und in der Küche für mehr Ordnung zu sorgen. Besonders wichtig war mir bei der Auswahl, nicht in ein geschlossenes System mit teurem Verbrauchsmaterial gezwungen zu werden. Hier sind meine technischen Eindrücke nach den ersten Nutzungstagen: Kein „DRM“ beim Papier (Der größte Pluspunkt) Viele aktuelle Mini-Thermodrucker (wie z.B. einige Modelle der Konkurrenz) setzen auf RFID-Chips in den Papierrollen. Das bedeutet oft, dass der Drucker den Dienst verweigert, sobald man günstigere Dritthersteller-Rollen einlegt. Der Phomemo D30 verzichtet erfreulicherweise auf diesen Zwang. Ich konnte problemlos günstigere Etikettenrollen aus dem Zubehörhandel verwenden. Man muss lediglich die Maße in der App manuell kurz bestätigen, und der Druck läuft. Das macht das Gerät langfristig deutlich wirtschaftlicher als vergleichbare Modelle mit proprietären Systemen. Druckqualität & Performance Der Thermodirektdruck ist für ein Gerät dieser Preisklasse und Größe überraschend knackig. Kontrast: Das Schwarz ist satt, nicht ausgeblichen. Randschärfe: Auch bei kleineren Schriftarten fransen die Buchstaben kaum aus. Ausrichtung: Der Papiervorschub arbeitet präzise; der Druck landet mittig auf dem Etikett, sofern man die Rolle korrekt eingelegt hat. Konnektivität & App Die Verbindung via Bluetooth klappte im Test mit meinem Smartphone auf Anhieb. Die App „Print Master“ ist funktional. Sie bietet genügend Templates, allerdings erfordert die UI anfangs etwas Eingewöhnung. Positiv ist, dass die Verbindung stabil bleibt und keine unnötigen Registrierungszwänge für die Grundfunktionen bestehen. Hardware & Haptik Das Gehäuse ist kompakt und gut verarbeitet. Es knarzt nichts, und der Klappmechanismus zum Wechseln der Rollen wirkt solide. Ein kleiner Wermutstropfen: Der Anschluss technisch nicht mehr ganz auf der Höhe der Zeit ist der Ladeanschluss. Der D30 setzt noch auf Micro-USB. In einem Haushalt, der mittlerweile fast komplett auf USB-C umgestellt ist, bedeutet das, dass man immer noch ein extra Kabel vorhalten muss. Das ist kein „Dealbreaker“ und schränkt die Funktion nicht ein, wirkt aber für ein aktuelles Gadget etwas altbacken. Fazit Wer einen zuverlässigen Label-Printer sucht und sich nicht von den Herstellern vorschreiben lassen will, welche Etiketten er zu kaufen hat, ist beim Phomemo D30 genau richtig. Die Druckqualität überzeugt, und die Unabhängigkeit von RFID-Chips wiegt den veralteten Micro-USB-Port für mich definitiv auf.
