Great HDMI Switch
The speakers on my TV are very low quality and there are only two HDMI inputs and no TOS link out on it either, so I purchased this I use it to drive sound out to an amplifier via the TOS link or to some computer speakers using the 3.5 mm connection. Sound is great but there IS a noticeable delay between video and audio when used this way. Regular sound from HDMI does not suffer from this and I have learned to speed audio in Kodi by 300 ms to compensate. I now have the Raspberry Pi, the Blu-Ray player, the Chromecast and a Digital TV Box. I am thinking of getting another for the other consoles I have. Great buy!

Garbage
Worked fine for the first couple weeks. Went to use my projector, and this piece of garbage is not working anymore. "Lucky" for me I'm passed the return deadline so I can't even return it... 30 bucks down the drain. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

Enthusiastic, but ultimately disappointed.
Bought to work with an Epson projector, which obviously doesn't have any audio capacity and only two HDMI inputs. The switch outputs its video signal to the projector and the digital audio to a DAC, which then converts to analogue and feeds a pair of powered speakers across the room. A very simple setup, relatively speaking. The switch seemed to work well for the first 24 hours, then magically stopped working with one specific input (AppleTV). It continues to work as expected with the Dish Receiver, though. And it works selectively with the AppleTV so long as the projector is off (streaming audio only); however, as soon as I switch on the projector, I get either A.) No audio whatsoever or B.) complete visual static from the feed. Upon further investigation, I discovered that it doesn't seem to support audio from the BluRay player, either, and the picture is noticeably flickery from that device. (Though not on the Apple TV or Dish receiver.) Unfortunately, I just finally got this setup last night and my return window closed yesterday, so it looks like I'm stuck with 40% functionality. I'm therefore giving 40% of the stars.

Great HDMI to Optical Audio Converter
The switch worked exactly as advertised, at a reasonable price point. I purchased primarily for the HDMI to Optical Audio conversion, and it worked perfectly the first time I plugged it in. HDMI out from AppleTV, PS4, PS3 & cable box all come through the optical output correctly. Confirmed with DTS and Dolby Digital 5.1 and 7.1. The HDMI audio pass-through option also also worked like a charm with the push of a button, as did 4K HDMI video output. The construction seems sturdy, and the inputs are all nice and firm so the cables snap in securely. It's shiny and pretty like in the picture, and has a low profile (smaller than I anticipate, about the size of 2 small cellphones stacked).I would highly recommend this as a solution, particularly if you rely on digital optical for your setup and need a converter for products like appleTV and Ps4-slim that have removed this output option.

Doesn't seem to handle surround sound as advertised
The HDMI circuit board went out on my cousin's 7.1 channel receiver, but surround was still working through digital coax audio and Toslink. The issue with that is only one of his AV components actually had audio output besides HDMI. We purchased this switch as a workaround specifically for this advertised feature:"Supports compressed audio: Dolby, DTS-HD. Perfectly support Blu-ray 2.1 / 3.1 / 4.1 / 5.1 / 6.1 / 7.1 / 8.1 / 9.1 home theater audio"Unfortunately, this HDMI switch doesn't seem to handle Dolby and DTS-HD surround sound as advertised. The receiver will only recognize stereo audio from the TOSLINK output on this switch. If set to a direct sound processing, the sound only comes from the front left and right speakers. The only way to get a surround sound effect from the rear speakers is to change the audio decoding mode to Dolby Pro Logic II or DTS's Neo:6 Cinema to simulate 5 or 7 channels from a stereo source.

Works like it was designed
Works like it was designed. Poor construction. Bottom of the line electronics. It will work though, and it doesn’t seem to reduce the video quality by any noticeable amount. The audio quality is not as good as it is normally when not utilizing this product, but that was kinda expected for a cheap product. But it works, and the purpose was to add a few extra hdmi slots.Adding after weeks of use: this switch works for someone on a budget. It will switch but takes a second for the garbage remote it comes with to actually send the signal. So a short delay, but eventually you get the signal you want. It would be helpful to have an osd of which signal you’re displaying. The front display has a nice piece of electrical tape over it because the light is so bright in the middle of the night, can’t sleep with the lights beaming me in the face lol. Can’t hide it because then the remote won’t work. Anyway, cheap and it works so that’s my review.

Works very good for me
Ordered to alternate using my Amazon Fire Stick and Roku in one of HDMI slot. Daily the WI-Fi connection for the fire stick freezes in and out at times so bad I need to switch to Roku. This device makes it easy with the remote to switch. Highly recommend for my need

Works great. I hooked up my XBox One and Nintendo switch as HDMI inputs to the switch with the HDMI out going to my 4k monitor and the optical out going to my stereo receiver. Great solution since my 4k monitor only has 1 HDMI input.

Read this review before you buy this product!
Yes, it does work but does it work well? There are a few things that annoyed me about this product. The output cable is positioned on the side of the device, perpendicular to the four input cables. Since the device is so lightweight, it makes it very awkward to position it and ends up requiring a lot more room than anticipated. Secondly, it says that it automatically switches among the various sources when one becomes active. I tried this multiple times and it doesn't work! The whole point for me buying this device was so that I wouldn't need to fumble with a remote to change source inputs. Instead, I have to use another silly small remote just to switch inputs (which uses coin-sized batteries).Needless to say, this device doesn't work and I wished I spent the money on a proper 4x1 switch. : (

One Star
doesn’t help giving me additional HDMI slot because it can only read 1 HDMI input out of 4 slots.
