These things are a MUST in your first aid kit! I sustained a significant cut on my foot during a holiday, and I chose not to visit the emergency room. I managed the wound with daily Betadine applications and kept it properly covered. The injury healed well, and even my doctor was impressed with the healing process. I recommend having appropriate wound care supplies readily available in your first aid kit to effectively manage similar injuries.

Amazing! Had a 1 1/2 inch laceration on my left index finger. I was bleeding everywhere! I the product wasnt madd for such a small area but I used it anyway. It worked as expected! My only suggestions are to make some smaller ( for use in lingers/toes) and use Betadine wipes rather than alcohol wipes. Urgent care staff were surprised and plan to order for their homes. I managed using the product with one hand because I was alone and it functioned great, imagine how much better it would have beeen if 2 people had been able to apply it. But please if you use the product seek medical attention as well. The product was used as an emergent measure by a nurse until other medical help could be found.This product is not meant to replace proper medical care. Often antibiotics are required to prevent infection.

I unfortunately had a biopsy wound open on a Friday and needed a quick remedy. I was looking for Steri-Strips when I came across this product… Was able to get it the very next morning by the time I got into my doctor for a follow up they were amazed at this product and it’s effectiveness. They were actually bringing other nurses into the examination room to look at these butterfly strips. I hope I never need them again, but I sure was glad to have them when I did.

These closures were decent, but not perfect. They were easy to apply, but I wish they had stayed in place longer. Overall, they might work better for minor needs.

To make these supplies even more useful - know that in an emergency your ability to not just have these in your first aid kit - but be able to use them - is as important to their effective use as having them in the first place. For instance if you try to use these on non-dry-skin they will fail!On all counts in emergency wound care - you want to be aware of what materials you have on hand in your 1st aid kit - that all are within expiration date - and the probability of how soon there might be access to professional medical care.Per any online search of “lacerations” most Short Term Emergency care lists include, among others:1) Whenever possible - immediately be in communication with professional medical care - ask for instructions for immediate patient care - and follow the professional instructions given.2) Else the basic goals listed in caring for any wound are:• Be and stay calm yourself.• Reassure, calm and make / keep the injured individual comfortable - warm/cool as needed.• Slow / Stop any bleeding - using only as much pressure as needed to do so.• If possible elevate wound area above the heart• Avoid infection• Achieve the best wound care with the least scarring.To offer more than these basic instructions is problematic - but know that your personal experience, knowledge,1st aid training and 1st aid kit preparation to deal with accidents is always a positive when it comes to being of aid to yourself and others when they occur.

Make sure you clean the area around your wound with the alcohol pads and let it dry really good then squeeze the gash or wound and put on the strips and then pull the two tabs on each side and that will pull the skin together I just took a shower with them and they stayed on just fine

Haven’t used yet but they look good. Doesn’t hurt to have in the house. You never know when you’ll need one.
