A good set of drill bits with depth-setting system and 5 bits for a keen price.
The media could not be loaded. The TOUGH MASTER drill bits arrive in a sturdy custom-design plastic case. There's a cut foam insert to hold everything securely in place. The package certainly looks like it would cost a lot more than the £15 price tag suggests. With the five drill bits you get a couple of Allen Keys which are used to tighten the depth-guides into the chosen position, the smaller key is obviously for the smaller diameter bits. The drill bits are carbide tipped so should last well for their intended use which is wood work. I think that the size range is very well selected for most hole sizes you may require. If you are drilling bigger holes into wood then I would recommend the type of drill bit that uses a small circular saw cutting method so that there's less wood bulk to have to cut through to achieve the larger hole - this is because you effectively cut a 'ring' through the wood and the remaining wooden disc drops out leaving the large hole, so you are actually drilling far less wood material to achieve the hole. The bits seem well made and they worked well in my tests. The hole that was produced had smooth sides and was very cleanly cut.A well conceived feature is the hole depth gauge which is so easy to set up. There's a metal collar on the bit that can slide up and down the bit and then be fixed into place by tightening up with the supplied Allen Key. TOUGH MASTER have even put a measuring scale along the side of the drill bit so that you can get a very accurate depth set if required. I put this to the test in the posted video by drilling a hole but setting the depth gauge so that the hole would not go all the way through the piece of wood. It worked extremely well. This is a great value set of drill bits which I will find very useful in my wood work projects. Gotta be well worth the 5 Stars I reckon

Seems robust
Though i haven't thoroughly tested them yet, they do appear to be accurately well made and look pretty substantial. No problems so far.

Gets the job done
The media could not be loaded. The drill bits are nicely presented in a tough plastic case with foam inserts to keep them separate. They are very sharp and look well made. They each come with an adjustable collar to allow blind drilling of holes to a set depth that you can easily set.The collars are quite loose and initially feel a bit flimsy but once tightened up with the supplied Allen key they are solid. In use they made quick work of a piece of soft pine and I like the fact that they don't seem to want to pull themselves into the hole you are drilling. You don't need to apply too much pressure to drill the holes and you feel in control at all times.I drilled a total of 25 holes using the same drill bit to various depths and even the deepest holes went in just as easily as the first. The bit felt just as sharp when I had done.At £3 a bit these are definitely worth every penny!

Just the job!
I ordered this very practical set of Forstner bits for a particular project. My intention is to make a small cabinet to house my growing collection of coins. Having these bits mean I’m able to produce hardwood trays with varying diameter recesses in them. The wood I’ll be using is walnut, which I presently have on order. In the meantime, I’ve practiced on some scrap hardwood pieces, and I have to say I’m impressed with the clean, precise recesses I’m able to achieve using these. I particularly like that the depth can be accurately adjusted to meet my requirements, and two Allen keys are supplied to allow me to do this with ease. The paint finish on these bits isn’t brilliant when new, but that paint will wear off with use anyway, so it’s purely an initial cosmetic feature. Really, the main question you as a potential end user should ask is “do these perform well?” and, in my experience, I would suggest that they work very well indeed. Their longevity is another consideration, but I can only tell you that I used the 15mm bit (the one I intend to use less than the others) to drill 50 holes at a depth of 6mm, and the 50th one was just as easy to do as the first, and gave a nice clean finish to the bottom, sides and edges. For a very reasonable price, I think this set of Forstner bits represents good value, and given my positive experience of using them, I have no hesitation in recommending them to you.
