I purchased this item as it was recommended for nutmeg grinding. For the life of me I can't figure out how this can work! Do I have to smash the whole nutmeg first? What's the point?

The paint layer scratches off with ease. It's concerning to think of ingesting flakes of paint along with my freshly ground herbs.

Very pleased.

Grinds all herb into fluffy and small pieces, very nice for consumption. The magnetic dispensing shoot can sometimes be a time saver, or be annoying because it is not 100% secure. Overall a nice hand held piece to get the grinding done, roomy storage layer.

This grinder sucks! I have a better idea. Bring me your herbs and I'll grind 'em for you for free!! Lol jk the grinder is great. Exceptional quality at a really reasonable price.
