Don't belive a word of the description, we had a really small amount of watts approx 400 going for about an hour and the thing started making noises , wouldn't power the applicance , all in all a very costly mistake as we were at a festival trying to cook for others and this ruined the day not just for us but the punters who wanted feeding, it is like a toy , i would say it could only power up to about 250 w for any amount of time, BEWARE if you think it will do as they claim as my one did not

This inverter is great for powering small appliances when mains electricity isn’t available—whether that’s in a campervan, shed, or during a power cut.We don’t have any mains sockets in the garage, so my husband uses it with a 12V leisure battery to run a work light, charge his drill, and sometimes plug in a small fan. It handles those kinds of jobs well and makes the space a lot more practical to work in.The extra USB ports also come in handy for charging phones or smaller devices while the main sockets are being used. It’s not built for heavy-duty equipment, but for light, everyday use, it does exactly what we need.In general, this is a useful bit of kit for light off-grid use. It’s not going to power your whole house, but for smaller, practical jobs like this, it holds up well.

I tried this Yinleader Power Inverter 400W / 800W because it can supply a Pure Sine Wave.Many cheap power inverters usually supply a square wave output.Out of the box the unit feels and looks well made, as do the supplied connection leads for the input.I did a test connecting a mains 230v lamp with a 5w LED light bulb and using a small 12v 2.3A which I had. Normally a much larger capacity battery would be required for use with a power inverter.On switching on the inverter, the light lit up as expected. The inverter was silent for a minute or two before the cooling fan started up, but just for a few seconds. This repeated during the test. If I had attached a heavier load, then the fan would probably have been on full time.When the fan is running it is quite loud in my opinion, not a “quiet operation” as advertised.I found that the output voltage was a little low at 223v at the start of my test.You never get info on how much battery power is required for a certain power output and a certain time period. So in my very light duty test of powering a 5w led bulb, these where my findings.The battery voltage dropped from 12.62v to 11.63v after one hour, and then dropped to 9.5v and turned off after a further 15 minutes. The unit auto turns off when the voltage drops below approx. 10v to save the battery.That roughly works out at 2 Amps per hour per 5w output. If I was to supply a 100w appliance from the battery I was using, it would only last for approx. 3 minutes. Hence why I said you usually need much larger batteries with these types of inverters.My intention was to use this inverter to supply my router with power during a power cut so that I could continue to use my wifi. I just need now to work out the best battery size I will need. All good fun!I could always connect it to my car battery in an emergency.

The unit is not as described but is a modified sign wave inverter which causes problems with tv and computor screens and is not any use if needed to operate them.

I liked the build quality but unfortunately had to return the item as no longer needed

I bought this product in April 2024, it stopped working Jan 2025. I used it to drive an 850 Watt water pump, running for just 30 minutes a week, so very lightly loaded.
