The best 4x6 printer you can buy at this price range
I have had the printer and printed 20 pictures with it already. Let me first say the picture quality is perfectly acceptable for this price and as an amateur photographer I love it. More than love it actually, the print quality is as-good-as if not better than Walmart and CVS prints. The colors are accurate. The fine details are there and not smudged. There's no weird effects on the images from an AI or other algorithms that you can't turn off. You can print exactly what the picture is, no hidden enhancements, only those you choose in the app willingly. This is important - the Kodak Dock Plus has image processing that cannot be turned off and makes the images look way over sharp and creates those borders around edges you'll hate. This printer does not do that. It prints as expected.I'm very happy to see that all the fine thin details are crisp and clear, such as those bothersome hairs you can't comb back. They print and look good, just like the picture on a screen, no white edges or mis-aligned colors. No blurriness. I was specifically looking for accurate true reproduction of fine edged details, this printer delivers that.Colors are rich and vibrant, and more importantly, accurately rendered. The Kodak printer was brightening my photos and increasing saturation without my say-so. This printer gives me prints with colors that look just like the real thing. The app works well, is easy, and has effects and editing tools you may enjoy. However, this important bit of advice for Android users: you have to turn off your mobile data before you connect to the printer's WiFi. Otherwise the app will tell you the printer cannot be found! This is because Android by default will reroute all network calls to whichever connection type has active internet access. Obviously the printer is not a source of the internet. The printer is not going to be found as connected to the internet.I tried the Kodak Dock Plus before this. The Kodak prints much poorer in quality, smudging fine details, and with terrible color accuracy due to a variety of issues. I returned that to try this one, and boy am I happy I did! Did I mention you can print with your PC with this one but not with the Kodak? Yeah, they didn't list that fact for the Kodak and that's a problem for me. This printer has a much wider range of devices that will work with it.For the price, you're getting a really good amateur printer. You'll need to quadruple your budget for the next level up, so if you're primarily an amateur photographer that wants 4x6 prints done yourself, this is the printer to get.

Get it! You will love it!!
I am super impressed by this product! It turned out to be way better than I expected! It comes well packaged and secure. The instructions are easy to follow- easy to set up, app works well, photos print exactly how they look on my phone, and it prints fast. Each photo pack brings 20 sheets and that’s the capacity for the printer sheet holder; 20 at a time. I tried one by one and then did 5 at once and it printed out with no issues. The design of the printer itself is perfect because it’s small enough for travel and storage. I think it’s worth every single penny!! I also bought the one that brings extra sheets of photos and it brought 2 extra “ink replacement.”Overall, I’m extremely happy with my purchase and would recommend this product to others.

good quality images
Easy to use. Suitable paper capacity for selling at craft shows. The ink hasn't run out, and the colors are vibrant. Functions great and was easy enough to set up.

Better product
Why did you pick this product vs others?:After returning a Kodak photo printer I ordered the Liene. What a difference in quality. The Kodak was cheaply made, poor operating instructions and wouldn't pair with bluetooth. The Liene was very well packaged, more solid product and very good user manual Was very easy to connect and printed a great picture. Definitely choose this over Kodak

Excellent print quality, but serious software and documentation issues
[ Update July 18, 2025. The company got in touch regarding some of the observations in the review and has said they're working on software and documentation updates. I appreciate their response and for that reason I'm adding 1 star to the rating. If the software updates are good I'll definitely increase to 5 stars. Considering the excellent print quality, it's certainly worth 5 stars.]The print quality is fantastic. I've been taking and printing photographs for a long time and have never seen such excellent quality right out of the box, so to speak. The Liene completely smokes my wife's older Epson 4x6 inkjet printer (which we stopped using due to connection problems and inkjet clogging).«Liene Image quality»Given a properly exposed and correctly color-balanced original image, you'll get outstanding print quality—see the photos I've attached to the review. The reproduction of the bright red in the one picture is flawless. (Both were taken by a mobile phone.) Neither photo has gained or lost contrast. The neutral areas are very clean. Highlight detail is preserved perfectly. The prints are 99% faithful to the originals. Excellent results.«Connection»We connected a Google Pixel 7A and an iPhone 16 to the printer without difficulty right after installing the Liene apps. The connections were instant—faster than Bluetooth. Now the bad news—why I gave the printer 3 stars instead of the 5 stars it deserves (!).Part of the problem is the software itself. There are also major documentation issues. Liene has got to improve its documentation!«Internet access disabled»Apparently by design, the Liene private wifi network is not meant to connect to the internet. On both Android and iPhone, when we connect the phones to the printer their internet access is disabled even if the phones are still connected to our home wifi. I'm guessing this is how it's supposed to work when a phone connects to a private wifi network lacking internet access. When we were running the Liene app and wanted to connect from within it to Liene's own site, we first had to turn off the phone-to-printer connection. It might all be by design but it was downright confusing until we realized the private network was the problem. Liene should document this _explicitly_.«Compatibility issue: Lenovo tablet»The Google Play store informed me that the Liene app can't be installed on my Lenovo tablet, which is running the latest Android version. The software just isn't compatible with that model. Disappointing. I don't know if this applies to other Android tablets or iPads. It's another thing Liene should document explicitly. (But, why not make the app compatible with tablets in the first place?)«Unpleasant bug in the iPhone app»When I print from the Android phone, when I'm done I can return immediately to my photo gallery (within the Liene app) and find something else to print. No such luck with the iPhone. After my wife made her first print on the iPhone, the Liene app has remained stuck on that first image. We haven't been able to "clear" the photo and display her photo gallery again within the app. It seems to me we'll have to uninstall and reinstall the app on her phone. But then we might have the same problem again. Super annoying. She did find a workaround: She opens the iPhone's photo gallery, picks one or more image(s), and prints directly to the Liene. But then she can't select certain features provided by the Liene app. She's ok with it for now, but it's far from ideal. That bug needs fixing. The workaround doesn't work at all on my Android phone. When I try it, I get only an error message saying that the phone can't find the printer, even though they are already connected. It's another thing Liene needs to fix.«Annoying design flaw in the Android app»I was kind of astonished that I can print only one image at a time via the Liene app. It does not support selecting more than one image at a time. Come on, Liene—why limit the software that way? It isn't exactly a benefit to the user. Conclusion:So we figured out how to deal with these issues, and as I say the print quality is outstanding. We'll live with limitations for now considering the high quality prints. But Liene REALLY needs to work on its software issues and documentation.
