These are the first speakon cables I have used. These cables are hefty. The ends clip into place with a twist and lock onto the fitting. They will not pull out without pulling the slide back and turning them, so there is a firm connection. My only complaint is that because of the cable diameter, they do not wind up as tight as some 1/4" speaker cables I have and so take up more room in my carrying case (I use a medium sized tool box to carry cables and other equipment), but that is a small concession, and I have not dropped my rating. These are good cables at a reasonable price and so far they have not let me down.

If you really need 12awg, buy a quality brand. If you just need decent heavy-ish gauge speaker cable, this’ll work.
