I normally buy Refresh Tears because my eyes respond well to the carboxymethylcellulose that is the active ingredient in this product. I have tried the other major brands to see if their active ingredient would work as well and found that they didn't. This item, Rohto, has a different active ingredient - povidine - that I had not yet tried. I received my order of Rohto today and have used it twice. I should say I have extreme dry eye issues. Refresh works well, soothing and cooling my eyes when irritated. The Rohto does sooth and cool my eyes, but it also tingled just a bit when first adding a drop to my eyes. Not a bad thing, just different. Not sure why it does that, but in the end, it's just all about how my eyes feel and so far the Rohto is working fine. Not better or even worse than Refresh, but similarly. Systane never has worked well to keep my eyes comfortable, so finding another product that does is a good thing for me. Hopefully it will work well for others too...After alternating between these drops and my Refresh drops, I have to admit that I still prefer Refresh over these. The Rohto drops sting for just a second when I put them in my eyes and they don't seem to give comfortable relief for as long as the Refresh drops give me. Having tried all the dry eye drops and comparing their main ingredients, the ones that work best for me (which may be different for others) have a main, active ingredient of carboxymethylcellulose. Rohto's povidine works, but for my eyes, just not as well. Because our chemical make-up has minute differences (such as being able to tolerate fiery hot foods or lactose intolerance in dairy products to name two), there is a chance povidine would be the best choice for someone else. Best to do your own testing to find out if this one is "the" one for you!

I like this product and have purchased it previously. It works well and like that the bottles are small in size.However, the packaging this time was not good. They came in a envelope and therefore the box they are packaged in were completely crushed with the product out of the boxes from being crushed. Fortunately this time the bottles came with an additional layer of protection and were in a small cellophane sealed bag. If they had not been I would have sent them back. The first time I got them they were not in cellophane and didn't need to be since they came in a box and weren't crushed. Again, I am happy with the product itself.

I ordered these after a recent eye doctor visit where I was told that the Rohto Optic Glow eye drops were contributing to my very dry eyes while riding my motorcycle. I would put eye drops in about every 30 minutes to help keep my eyes lubricated, but they weren't doing a very good job. After receiving these, I put a drop in each eye prior to my motorcycle ride and to my surprise, my eyes stayed perfectly hydrated all day. These work extremely well have since replaced all my other eye drops I use. I highly recommend these and they are a great price. 10/10

Best drops I have ever used. Some sensation when I first put them in, but soon disappears. Great product!

I like the product--I liked it enough to 'subscribe and save' and was just notified yesterday that the price went up $5 for each twin pack, but then I saw the twinpack available for 12$ here on Amazon today and I paid over $45 for two of them! How is this subscribing and SAVING? I'm very disappointed at this bait and switch. Hence the three stars instead of 5.

These eye drops are the only ones that help with my dry eye. They give a “menthol gel” feel.
