As soon as you pick these up, you can feel the balance and quality. They feel good in the hands. For me the balanced weight is ideal. Smooth clean cuts thru fruit and tomatoes. Work well with meats also. I would though recommend a good quality cutting board when using these. There is no reason to push down hard on the board surface because they are razor sharp right out of the packaging. I have used them for a few months now and they hold their edge very well. If I am cutting cooked thicker meat, I will use a couple swipes of a metal honing rod to quickly restore them to perfect edge sharpness before cutting. I am planing on buying a few more types of knives from this company. Also, if you don’t have one yet, I’d recommend a wood block to organize the knives. Very handy when working with different meats, food, and breads.

I bought this set in 2024, in July. They are both exceptional knives. The are heavy, very sharp, in fact the craftmanship is great. The triple rivet handle is shaped so the grip is comfortable and the knife is balanced. I sharpened them 1 time using a steel and the knives retain an edge but I only handwash my knives so that may contribute to their stating sharp.

My mom has worked in a kitchen her entire life. She has also owned her own diner where she was also the cook. So she knows she difference between quality vs mediocre knives. A while back she unfortunately lost most of her belongings and the financial situation was not ideal so she had to sacrifice replacing "luxuries". She is also stubborn and will not accept help. So she bought some cheap knives from a department store and they were deplorable. I decided to order these for her for Christmas. I was concerned that they would not be very good because the price was so affordable. I was wrong. These things are so sharp. They sliced through a tomato like it was air. They have a nice handle and blade length. And it came with a lifetime sharpening offer. My mom is thrilled with them.

Purchased used so great price. It arrived with open package & dull. I easily resharpened them. Comfortable & easily controlled in hand. They are do the job expected.My problem is I am spoiled. These were purchased because after over 30 years of use & sharpening, I broke the tip off my Henkel-Zwilling Five Star paring knife. I don’t remember the 1990 price of the paring knife but it was expensive. It is also known as the double walking man, hand made in Germany of German stainless steel. To compete price-wise manufacturing moved to China and to ??(I can’t remember). The product just doesn’t compare. It works well for the price but not the same.

The knife is beautiful, well made, and very sharp. It is top quality.

These are quality knives. They are extremely sharp and feel well in the hand . Well worth the cost. These knives are used on a daily basis and have retained their edge for well over three months. My only word of caution is be careful as I have stated they are sharp.
