Excellent Quality Food for Small Fish!
Fluval Bug Bites are a fantastic choice for small fish! The ingredients are high quality, with black soldier fly larvae as the main protein source, which my fish absolutely love. The pellets are the perfect size for tetras, rasboras, and other small species, and they sink slowly, giving all my fish a chance to eat. I’ve noticed brighter colors and healthy activity since switching to this food. Plus, it doesn’t cloud the water! Great nutrition at a great price.

Saltwater Mollies and Mosquitofish love this stuff!
I've been looking for a fishfood that this mimic the food my mollies and mosquitofish would eat in a natural habitat - this fits the bill perfectly.

High protein content and low waste!
The media could not be loaded. I like to provide a variety of foods to my fish, and this one seemed a favorite to them. My most finicky fish is a Betta named Matisse; he liked it since day one so that surprised me. What I like about this food is it's high protein content and how it is processed. You can find links on YouTube to see how the food is made with excellent ingredients and not just filler. Its made primarily of Black Soldier fly larvae and salmon, so you know this is a great choice for your scaled darlings AND shrimp (some snails seemed to like it too). The food leaves very little waste, most likely because any inhabitants in your tank will rush to eat it :) The only cons (if you can even call it that) is that it isn't as "slow sinking" as the label describes. The food actually sinks very quickly. Another minor annoyance is that the granules vary in size. I have to manually sort the larger pieces between my fingers so I can get the right size for Matisse because he seems to not like the smaller pieces and if I just sprinkle the food for the fish in my other tank, the tetras end up having to pluck the food from the bottom of the tank since the food sinks so fast. Luckily, it is so delicious to them it is worth it...but, one of them already has some scrapes on his mouth from trying to dig for food between the gravel rocks.Overall, it is a really good primary food and you don't have to worry about them possibly getting infections from live food if your aim is to give them something that is high protein. Worth the try!

Great for smaller bottom feeders!
Bug bites tropical fish food: this food has become a staple in my feeding routine. It’s a smaller food which makes it great for my smaller bottom dwelling fish. My cories and kuhli loaches love these. Even the glowlight tetras will try to catch some as it falls or pick smaller pieces off the bottom. My spotted Raphael catfish also enjoys bug bites, although he prefers the Bottom feeders version as they are bigger granules and he is a bigger boy. This food doesn’t cloud my water or make a mess, although after I drop it in the tank it doesn’t last long in the water before someone has chowed it down. Some reviews mention it sinks slowly and others mention it sinks quickly. My experience is it sinks pretty quick.

Nothing but the best for my CPDs
Wonderful fish food - my CPDs/Galaxy Rasboras love it! I do have to crush a bit finer for feeding, but it is a great choice for healthy fish. I've bred CPDs for years and have had the best success getting them onto this food.
