Games Workshop Warhammer 40k Chaos Space Marines Codex Heretic Astartes

So, 2 things i know from this book:Whoever owned it treated about as lovingly as an ex who cheated on you but you're still inexplicably still on speaking terms with, and that either they or the personnel of the used bookstore it lived in before shipping out to me were 4 pack a day chain smokers. It smells awful, the spine and cover are seperated, allowing the book to wobble and jimmy like a jenga tower, and it stinks. I sprayed it with cologne but now just reminds me of my chain smoking grandfather more than it does of an ashtray.The books contents seem decent enough though. Pictures are good color, no pages seem to be missing, and well it's games workshop. They craft lore, what more can be said? Im not going to lie i wish the condition descriptions included smell but then i knew going in the book might have some quirks.

The only downside I could find with the book is not under the control of the store that sells this book on here (Since GW has yet to release a 9th edition Chaos codex) but I received the book far faster than I had expected and am incredibly grateful for that. The lore contained in the book really helped in deciding where my investment on Chaos units would go once I finally get the chance to work on more of my chaos army.

This is what you want if you are getting into Heretic Astartes. If you are looking for Death Gaurd or Thousand Sons get those Codex's. So far found the best deal here on Amazon so do with that info as you will.

Excellent book for someone like me starting Warhammer 40k for the first time. Excellent explanations of the rules for my army along with lovely illustrations of the units and lore. However with my copy it seemed to have contain bits of metal shards within a couple of the back pages, tearing small portions of the lower corner of the page. I assume its some sort of packing error as it was sealed when i received it, but its minor and I can still read it easily and clearly and the damage was minimal.

An inredible addition to your black library collection. The artwork is amazing. The fluff is well written and pulls you deeper into the narrative of the traitor legions. The data and tactics presented within will help you buold an unstoppable army fof the glory of chaos!!!Blood for the Blood God!Skulls for the Skull Throne!

Most recent codex, you'll still need the index for the points cost and options on a few units. Too many pictures, and it was damaged when it arrived. It didn't happen during shipping, the card board wrap was immaculate.

Really nice looking codex. I wish it had a larger section of units/stats so I could rely less on the index, but the book generally has everything you need. Disappointed with the strategems this go-around, but not too horrible.
