DOES work with Apple Podcasts
I use the native Podcasts app on my non-android fruit phone on the daily for my Bible study. As I take notes, I need to frequently pause to catch up because I write slower than they speak, need to add details, or want to research something. I ordered a similar product from another brand and all it was good for was adjusting the volume. I found this and it didn’t specifically say anything about the Podcasts app, but I was cautiously optimistic because it said “Multimedia” in the item name. I was THRILLED when I received it and it immediately connected to my phone and has full functionality. I am extremely pleased with this remote. It is very easy to use with obvious functions for the buttons, and doesn’t leave you guessing like similar products do. It is small and fits easily in your hand, and because it is so compact, it is easy to take on-the-go. The instruction sheet could stand to be a little bigger, but it gives more information on the buttons’ functions than similar products. I have not experienced any issues with connectivity or the battery life, and it seems to be fully compatible with my device. If I had to design this product, it would be very similar to the way it is now. Perhaps the only thing I would change is to make the metal ring an actual keychain or spring-opening metal ring so I can hang it in my bag. As it is, I will have to attach another ring to it to be able to do that. But that’s a very minor complaint and more of a preference than anything - this remote is pretty near perfect as is.

Great product that worked perfectly for a teleprompter application using Even Realities G2 glasses
Great product. Very small and portable. I have this paired to an iPhone on which I am running a very specific application. That iPhone is setup to drive a pair of Even Realities G2 glasses using the teleprompter application. That app allows you to use a bluetooth remote with volume up/down to switch pages (forward/backwards) when using the teleprompter application. It works flawlessly with this application- in my application, I don't want the other buttons to trigger any actions, I simply want the remote to function as a way to scroll through pages of text using the Even Realities glasses in teleprompter mode- and that is exactly how it works. The buttons on the remote will only go forward/backwards through the teleprompter scroll, which was prefect for what I needed- the other buttons won't interrupt the application in any way. Note- not USB rechargeable, this uses a CR2032 battery. It is very easy to use, I simply paired the remote with the phone and it worked. You can't reconfigure (reprogram) any of the buttons, but I didn't need that in my case. The volume control functions did exactly what I needed.

Outstanding!
This remote does everything I need it for and does it well. Before I ordered it Amazon's disclaimer of this item experiencing frequent returns worried me. I now know why people frequently return this. I'm thinking this item may probably sit in stock awhile running the cheap battery out and I think it does save power by sleeping if unused for some time but you just have to hit any button to wake it up or turn it off then on again. Anyway after using it daily about a few weeks it started acting up. I almost gave up, ordered another, then decided to check battery voltage: 2.79V. Thats significantly lower than a new one so I cancelled the order and decided to order a pack of lithium duracells. Time will tell but I'm pretty sure the problems are gone! Instantly connects, rock solid performance unless it's sleeping. I love it and use it all day long daily. Love that it actually has an actual on off switch instead of having to do a long press on some button. If I'm wrong about the end of it misbehaving I'll update this review.

Imperfect device but provides physical buttons at a great price.
I purchased this to use with my android phone for when it is connected to my android auto device in the car. I don't like the idea trying to use the touch screen on the device while driving so I wanted some physical buttons. Functionality: 3/5 - I got an android app to make the home button trigger android assistant (because hello google rarely works for me - especially with the radio blaring). The skip forward/backward, play/pause, and mute buttons all work out of the box. The camera button and phone button aren't working with my phone. Connectivity: 4/5 - It was easy to connect and started working within a few seconds. However, I sometimes have to turn it off and on a couple times before it works. There's a handy power switch on the side for this so it's not a big deal. I suspect this is more to do with Android than the device though. Ease of use: 5/5 - It's very intuitive and I like that I can click through music tracks without having to look away from the road. Value: 5/5 - It may not do all it claims to do but it's still a great value for what it does do. 3rd party apps may give it more functionality. Summary: 4/5 - This device could be better but there are surprisingly few options for those of us who want to use buttons instead of touch screens while driving. You can't go wrong for the price. I liked it enough that I bought one for my son. He says he's using it which gives some peace of mind.

Dies after one month - terrible product
This was great for a month and then it stopped working. I changed the battery and the pairing light comes on for two seconds and then goes off. It is no longer useable. Total waste of money.

I've been with Amazon since the 1990s, and this might be my all-time favorite purchase.
I listen to a LOT of podcasts and books while driving or trying to sleep. This remote works perfectly to fully control (pause/resume/skip/rewind/mute/vol+-) the relevant apps (Pocket Casts and Audible) on my Android 15 phone. The battery lasts 2-3 months with regular use as I drive long road trips or drift to sleep (in bed, not behind the wheel) with podcasts/books in my ears. CR2032 replacement is cheap and simple with its quick-release back cover. The buttons respond quickly to a light firm touch, unlike other remotes I've tested which take about twice as much force (with mushy buttons that lag and leave me wondering whether I've pressed them, resulting in unwanted double-presses most of the time). All buttons but one map to their relevant functions as labelled (including the Home and Photo Shutter buttons). The only one which doesn't work is the phone button, but that's a net positive for me -- I don't want to wake anyone up with my snoring when I accidentally press it in the middle of the night. I'd be just as happy if they'd left that one out. Bluetooth connectivity has been flawless for me as well. It has a hardware on/off switch which I turn off sometimes when I'm not using it, but it connects instantly when I switch it back on (whichever one I happen to pick up) and never drops the connection. Even the keyring is surprisingly useful. I usually toss those when they come with things like this, but this one lets me keep the remote dangling from a finger for easy access to the skip button whenever I wake up to a loud podcast commercial in the middle of the night. Skip-skip-skip and I'm back to dreamland in minutes. I've bought three so far and will certainly buy more, to have one nearby in whatever car or room I might occupy while listening. If you've read this far you'll want several too. Keep this in mind when you need to bump your cart up to $25 for overnight delivery.

Okay function, connections drop. Nice to control Bluetooth connected hearing aids
I misplaced first one; I've had 2nd one nearly a year. Battery cover fell off somewhere. Not the best closure for a device most often out in open. Functionally, when connected works as advertised. Disconnects often when connected to Google Pixel 9A.

Perfect little remote for your phone
I tend to have my earbuds in all day, listening to music or podcasts, and so I wanted an easier way to play/pause, skip/rewind, and adjust volume, instead of having to pull out my phone, or fiddle with the buttons on my various earbuds. This was a perfect solution! Nice small size. Keychain loop is handy. Where others complain about the sleep mode when you haven't pressed a button on a while, apparently it's doing a great job at saving battery.. it's been a few days and it's still at 99%! Some might not like that's it's an old school battery and not rechargeable, but again, I see it as a positive. One less thing to charge. The batteries are cheap and easy to replace. For the price, you might as well get one of you're on the fence.
