I got this hoping to maximize storage in my existing closet. I removed the single wooden rod and shelf above that to accommodate this. All following heights are from the floor. I arranged the bottom two outermost shelves at 6" so shoes could be slid under them. The lowest center shelf was situated ar 9" to accommodate short boots. Next I situated two more shelves in the outside towers at 36" and another set above them at the very top, at 74." I put the hanging rods on these two layers. The last shelf went on the center at 68" where i intended to hang dresses, but there wasn't a fifth rod to put on it. My spouse and I are 5'2" and 5'9". I hung our pants, folded in half over baby size hangers, on the bottom and our shirts on the top rods. I was disappointed that there was not adequate space for any of the clothes to hang straight down. The only solution would have been to drop the bottom shelf to floor level but that would have eliminated the shoe storage space, defeating my original purpose. Also, the only shelves with space to stack anything on were the very top level and the central lower one. You have to have the shelves in place to hold the clothes rods and in order to provide stability, so it's not like I could have moved the lower shelves to the center thus making two layers of space on each side where clothes could hang at their full length and a useful set of shelves down the middle. Half the shelves are wasted as far as storage goes. Also, the wire across the shelf surface are bendable and comparable to a wire hanger like another reviewer observed. Will the welds break under 100 lbs of weight? Maybe not, but unless the object is wide it will bow the wires in as they give easily under minimal pressure. The rods don't fasten to it, they just hang over with a hook. Since I have my original closet option to go back to I am returning this. If I didn't have a closet I would keep it but feel like I paid too much ($103). The things I liked: The depth of the shelves is deeper than my original ones. It was easy to assemble and everything but the shelf surface seems strong.

Arrived double boxed and packed well inside, no damage, corners protected. Went together easily, as expected. I actually used as just 2 columns, one for hanging and the other for shelves, and wish there was an option for even more shelves, but fit my purpose as expected. Love the extra side hooks and feet to balance the unit. Metal was not quite as heavy duty as I was hoping, but will stand up to what I need it for. Overall great buy!

You don’t have to design yours with the same spacing you see in the product photo. There are design suggestions in the back of the instructions. It was easy to set it up. I did read the instructions and set-up video. I did enjoy the setup video on the product page because I’m a visual learner. There were extra black clamp holds (the pieces that hold the metal in place). I did break 2 trying to readjust some positioning.

The instruction can appear complicated but it is relatively easy to assemble if you are familiar with these type of construction. It does take some time and The instruction can be better written. However, the product is well made and seems to be able to take heavy load and has different compartments for different type of items. It is a good comprehensive storage solution. We have it placed inside our walk in closet for better organization and better vertical storage.

Overall, this does the job. I’m glad I got one that was 75” tall, considering others were around 70” and the clothing in the images must be extra small size. However, a couple minor quality issues: one corner is slightly bent and welded as such. Also, another few wire spot welds have already come undone, causing a snag to one of my shirts. Update: the company reached out to resolve this and was very helpful.
